A method and apparatus for characterized pre-distortion calibration is provided. The method begins with the selection of a number of devices to be characterized. The number of devices selected may be a subset of a larger group of devices. The selected number of devices is then characterized. The method avoids characterizing the large group of devices. The calibration of the group of devices is then based on the characterization of the selected number of devices.

A radio frequency (RF) system including: a modem configured to generate a first set of digital bits and to create an analog RF signal from those digital bits; a power amplifier configured to receive the analog RF signal and to amplify the analog RF signal, the power amplifier including an input for a biasing voltage; a feedback loop configured to sample an output of the power amplifier, generate a second set of digital bits corresponding to the first set of digital bits, digitally process the second set of digital bits to determine a linearity characteristic of the power amplifier, and to adjust the biasing voltage in response to determining the linearity characteristic.

The device may capture measurement information at each position of a set of positions of the wireless communication device, wherein the set of positions comprises positions of the wireless communication device as the wireless communication device is rotated around an axis by the positioner, and wherein the measurement information is captured based at least in part on the mount orientation. The device may provide information identifying the measurement information.
