Abstract: A radio-frequency front-end circuit includes a first switch and a first transfer circuit that transfers a first radio-frequency signal. The first switch includes a first antenna terminal connected to a first antenna, a second antenna terminal connected to a second antenna, and first and second selection terminals. The first selection terminal is connected to the first transfer circuit, and the second selection terminal connected to a second transfer circuit. The second transfer circuit transfers the second radio-frequency signal. Selection between conduction of the first antenna terminal with the first selection terminal and conduction of the first antenna terminal with the second selection terminal is exclusively carried out in the first switch. Selection between conduction of the second antenna terminal with the first selection terminal and conduction of the second antenna terminal with the second selection terminal is exclusively carried out in the first switch.

A method includes, while a wireless communication of a first frequency band is performed via a first 5G antenna, obtaining first status information related to the first 5G antenna and second status information related to a second 5G antenna; if the first status information does not satisfy a first predetermined condition and the second status information satisfies a second predetermined condition, switching from the first 5G antenna to the second 5G antenna, and performing the wireless communication in the first frequency band via the second 5G antenna; and if the first status information does not satisfy the first predetermined condition and the second status information does not satisfy the second predetermined condition, switching from the first 5G antenna to a legacy communication antenna, and performing the wireless communication in a second frequency band via the legacy communication antenna.

Abstract: In one embodiment, an impedance matching network includes a variable reactance circuit having fixed reactance components and corresponding switching circuits. Each switching circuit includes a diode and a driver circuit. The driver circuit includes, coupled in series, a biasing current source positioned to provide a bias current to bias the diode, a first switch, a second switch, and a resistor. For each diode of each switching circuit, the control circuit is configured to receive a value related to a voltage drop on the resistor and, based on the value related to the voltage drop, adjust the bias current being provided by the biasing current source.

Abstract: There is provided a filter unit for wideband multicarrier TDD operation. The filter unit comprises a transmission multiplexer (MXT), at least one circulator, and a filter bank. The MXT and the filter bank are connected via the at least one circulator. The MXT is configured to receive a transmission (TX) wideband multicarrier signal as 5 provided by at least one PA, and to provide a first bandpass (BP) filtered TX wideband multicarrier signal to the at least one circulator. The MXT comprises at least one first BP filter structure for first BP filtering of the TX wideband multicarrier signal. The at least one circulator is configured to receive the first BP filtered TX wideband multicarrier signal from the MXT and provide the first BP filtered TX 10 wideband multicarrier signal to the filter bank. The filter bank is configured to receive the first BP filtered TX wideband multicarrier signal from the at least one circulator, and to provide a second BP filtered TX wideband multicarrier signal towards an antenna port. The filter bank comprises at least as many second BP filter structures as there are first BP filter structures for second BP filtering of the first BP filtered TX 15 wideband multicarrier signal to provide the second BP filtered TX wideband multicarrier signal.

Abstract: Described herein are switches with asymmetrical anti-series varactor pairs to improve switching performance. The disclosed switches can include asymmetrical varactor pairs to reduce distortions. The asymmetry in the varactor pairs can be associated with geometry of each varactor in the pair. The disclosed switches can stack both symmetrical and asymmetrical varactor pairs. The disclosed switches with asymmetrical anti-series varactor pairs can be configured to improve both H2 and H3 simultaneously.
