Abstract:
Aspects of the present disclosure describe indicating per-packet quality of service (QoS) in communications by a wireless communications device. A packet from an application generated for a first radio access technology (RAT) can be obtained, where the packet includes a first QoS value associated with the first RAT, and/or the first QoS value can be mapped to a second QoS value associated with the second RAT. In another example, the QoS value can be indicated in the packet along with a reflective indicator indicating to use the QoS value in transmitting a response to the packet.

Abstract:
Aspects of the present disclosure describe indicating per-packet quality of service (QoS). A first packet can be obtained, by a wireless communications device, from an application generated for a radio access technology (RAT), where the first packet includes a QoS value associated with the RAT. A reflective indicator can be set in a header of the first packet to indicate a configuration, including a QoS value, to be used by a receiving device in transmitting a second packet. The first packet can be transmitted to the receiving device.
Abstract:
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine a service type to be used by the UE for one or more device-to-device (D2D) communications on a sidelink interface; determine a slice identifier based at least in part on the service type, wherein the slice identifier corresponds to a resource allocation to be used for the one or more D2D communications; and transmit an indication of the slice identifier. Numerous other aspects are provided.
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus receives, from a second UE, a first signal including a first expression code associated with the second UE, and determines at least a second expression code using the first expression code, the at least a second expression code associated with the second UE.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for wireless communication, and more specifically to advertising discovery information, relaying discovery information, and to the secure relay of discovery information in wireless networks. Various frame structures are provided for such transmitting and relaying of discovery information. According to certain aspects of the present disclosure, security is provided for relaying discovery information. According to certain aspects of the present disclosure, compensation may be provided to a device that relays discovery information (e.g., when the relaying results in a transaction).
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques relating to wireless communications between vehicles. In certain aspects, a method performed by a first vehicle comprises receiving an indication from a second vehicle comprising surrounding information that is indicative of whether a first unknown vehicle is detected by the second vehicle, wherein the first vehicle and the second vehicle are able to communicate wirelessly, and wherein the first unknown vehicle is unable to communicate wirelessly with the first and the second vehicles. The method further comprises controlling movement of the first vehicle based on the indication.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and devices for ranging are described. A multi-phase distributed ranging technique includes transmitting and receiving vehicle information messages during a first time interval, where the vehicle information messages include at least a vehicle identifier and resource information. The multi-phase technique further includes transmitting and receiving ranging signals during a second time interval, and determining times of arrival of received ranging signals. A centralized ranging technique includes receiving resource assignments from an access point, transmitting ranging signals according to the resource assignments, and determining times of arrival of received ranging signals.
Abstract:
Aspects of the disclosure relate to a method of operating a scheduled entity for wireless communication. In some aspects, the scheduled entity determines to modify a first quality of service (QoS) level for a data transmission from the first device to a second device, wherein the first device is configured to communicate with the second device through a direct wireless communication link, and wherein the first QoS level is requested by an application of the first device. The scheduled entity modifies the first QoS level to a second QoS level, wherein the direct wireless communication link is able to support the second QoS level and is unable to support the first QoS level. The scheduled entity transmits the data transmission based on the second QoS level.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure are generally directed to vehicle techniques for selecting communication options for vehicle to everything (V2X) type communications. Certain aspects provide a method for wireless communication by a user-equipment (UE). The method generally includes receiving one or more parameters for selection of one or more features associated with one or more radio-access technology (RATs), and selecting the one or more features to be used for communicating with one or more other UEs using a V2X communication protocol. The selection of the one or more features may be based on the one or more parameters. The method may also include communicating with the one or more other UEs via the selected one or more features.
