    Abstract: A decoding method and apparatus, and an encoding method and apparatus for a picture are provided, and relate to the field of video encoding and decoding. The decoding method includes: analyzing a code stream to obtain one or more picture frames, wherein a picture frame comprises one or more coding units (CUs); determining a plurality of quantization parameter (QP) values for the picture frame, wherein a CU comprises a plurality of quantization groups (QGs), and a QG corresponds to a QP value; and decoding the picture frame based on the plurality of QP values.

    Abstract: The present disclosure discloses picture decoding methods and apparatuses, and picture encoding methods and apparatuses, relating to the field of video coding and decoding technologies, and solving the problem of low prediction efficiency in a process of picture coding and decoding (or video coding and decoding). The picture decoding method includes: parsing a bit stream to obtain a syntax element, where the syntax element is configured to obtain a residual block of a to-be-decoded unit, and the to-be-decoded unit includes at least one prediction group; determining a prediction mode of any one prediction group in the at least one prediction group; obtaining a prediction value of the any one prediction group by performing prediction for the any one prediction group with the prediction mode; and decoding the to-be-decoded unit based on the residual block of the to-be-decoded unit and the prediction value of each one in the at least one prediction group.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a decoding method and apparatus, an encoding method and apparatus, and a device. The decoding method includes: determining prediction-mode flag information of a current block, the prediction-mode flag information includes a flag value of each of one or more of N candidate prediction modes; when the flag value is a first value, the flag value indicates that a candidate prediction mode is enabled, and when the flag value is a second value, the flag value indicates that the candidate prediction mode is disabled, and for the flag value of one of the N candidate prediction modes, if the current block does not satisfy a decoding condition of the flag value of the candidate prediction mode, the flag value is a derived flag value of the candidate prediction mode; determining a target prediction mode used by the current block according to the prediction-mode flag information, where the target prediction mode is one of the N candidate prediction modes; and decoding the current block according to the target prediction mode. The present disclosure can improve the encoding performance.
