摘要: The embodiments of the present disclosure provides a method and apparatus for video signal processing. A method for decoding an image signal according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include determining an input length and an output length of a non-separable transform based on a height and a width of a current block; determining a non-separable transform matrix corresponding to the input length and the output length of a non-separable transform; and applying the non-separable transform matrix to coefficients by a number of the input length in the current block, wherein the height and the width of a current block is greater than or equal to 8, wherein, if each of the height and the width of a current block is equal to 8, the input length of the non-separable transform is determined as 8.

摘要: The present disclosure provides example computer-implemented methods and decoders of video coding for prediction of a block using an inter prediction mode to obtain predicted samples for the block. One example method includes defining a size of a subblock that is smaller than the size of the block. A position of the subblock within the block is specified. One or more allowed split directions of a triangle partitioning mode (TPM) is determined for the subblock depending on which of the sides of the subblock coincide with the sides of the block. One or more predicted samples for the block is obtained by using TPM partitioning performed for the subblock in accordance with the size of the subblock, the position of the subblock within the block, and TPM split direction of the subblock. The block is reconstructed based on the one or more predicted samples.

摘要: An encoder, a decoder, and methods for partitioning a picture from a sequence of video pictures into a layout having a plurality of flexible tiles or segments is disclosed. Each tile or segment comprises a single rectangular or square region. The encoder generates a partition structure and encodes the tiles according to the partition structure. The encoder also generates a bitstream comprising a plurality of coded picture segments and information indicating the partition structure used to partition the picture into the plurality of flexible tiles or segments, and sends the bitstream to the decoder. Upon receipt, the decoder uses the coded picture segments and information in the bitstream to decode the plurality of coded picture segments.

摘要: A method and apparatus for video coding system that utilizes low-latency template-matching motion-vector refinement are disclosed. According to this method, input data associated with a current block of a video unit in a current picture are received. Motion compensation is then applied to the current block according to an initial motion vector (MV) to obtain initial motion-compensated predictors of the current. After applying the motion compensation to the current block, template-matching MV refinement is applied to the current block to obtain a refined MV for the current block. The current block is then encoded or decoded using information including the refined MV. The method may further comprise determining gradient values of the initial motion-compensated predictors. The initial motion-compensated predictors can be adjusted by taking into consideration of the gradient values and/or MV difference between the refined and initial MVs.

A method includes obtaining a first set of control points specifying a first set of compression ratios corresponding to respective first regions of a compression domain, and minimum and maximum uncompressed values within the compression domain. The method can further include scaling the first set of control points based on the minimum and maximum uncompressed values to obtain a scaled set of control points, wherein a first scaled control point is located at the minimum uncompressed value, and a last scaled control point is located at the maximum uncompressed value. The method can further include adjusting at least one scaled control point such that a first slope does not exceed 1. The method can further include compressing or decompressing between the compression domain and a range of compressed values, wherein a respective compression ratio corresponds to a respective slope of the set of slopes.

摘要: A method for decoding a 360-degree image includes: receiving a bitstream obtained by encoding a 360-degree image; generating a prediction image by making reference to syntax information obtained from the received bitstream; combining the generated prediction image with a residual image obtained by dequantizing and inverse-transforming the bitstream, so as to obtain a decoded image; and reconstructing the decoded image into a 360-degree image according to a projection format. Here, generating the prediction image includes: checking, from the syntax information, prediction mode accuracy for a current block to be decoded; determining whether the checked prediction mode accuracy corresponds to most probable mode (MPM) information obtained from the syntax information; and when the checked prediction mode accuracy does not correspond to the MPM information, reconfiguring the MPM information according to the prediction mode accuracy for the current block.

摘要: A method, decoder, and apparatus are provided. Responsive to a current block being a MIP predicted block, it is determined whether it has one or multiple transform blocks. A MIP weight matrix to be used to decode the current block is determined based on a MIP prediction mode. Responsive to the MIP predicted block having one transform block, the MIP predicted block is derived based on the MIP weight matrix and previously decoded elements in the bitstream. Responsive to the MIP predicted block having multiple transform blocks: deriving a first MIP predicted block is derived based on the MIP weight matrix and previously decoded elements in the bitstream and remaining MIP predicted blocks are derived based further on decoded elements in at least one decoded transform block of the current block. The MIP predicted block(s) are output for subsequent processing.

摘要: Several methods and systems for masking multimedia data are disclosed. In an embodiment, a method for masking includes performing a prediction for at least one multimedia data block based on a prediction mode of a plurality of prediction modes. The at least one multimedia data block is associated with a region of interest (ROI). A residual multimedia data associated with the at least one multimedia data block is generated based on the prediction. A quantization of the residual multimedia data is performed based on a quantization parameter (QP) value. The QP value is variable such that varying the QP value controls a degree of masking of the ROI.
