    摘要: Foamable compositions and foams comprise at least an ethylene/α-olefin interpolymer. The foam has a density from greater than 150 to about 500 kg/m3. The foamable compositions further comprise a blowing agent and a crosslinking agent. The ethylene/α-olefin interpolymers are a multi-block copolymer comprising at least one soft block and at least one hard block. Methods of making the foamable compositions and foams; and foamed articles made from the foams are also described.

    摘要: A unique thermoplastic olefin composition having: (a) at least 40 percent by weight of a propylene-alpha olefin copolymer based on the total weight of polymers in the composition, the propylene-alpha olefin copolymer having at least 60 percent by weight units derived from propylene, at least 6 percent by weight units derived from an alpha olefin, a molecular weight distribution less than 3.5, and a broad composition distribution; and (b) at least 20 percent by weight of a polypropylene based on the total weight of polymers in the composition, the polypropylene having at least 93 percent by weight units derived from propylene, a molecular weight distribution of greater than 3.5, a heat of fusion greater than the heat of fusion exhibited by the propylene-alpha olefin copolymer, and a melting point Tmax of at least 120° C.

    摘要: The present invention relates to compositions comprising blends of alkenyl aromatic polymers such as styrenic polymers (i.e. PS and HIPS) and bio-based or biodegradable polymers (i.e. PLA, PGA, PHA, PBS, PCL) compatibilized with styrene-based copolymers (i.e. styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene (SEBS) block copolymers, maleated SEBS, styrene-maleic anhydride (SMA) copolymer, styrene-methyl methacrylate (SMMA) copolymer) or a mixture of two or more styrene-based copolymers such as SEBS and SMA. These novel compositions can be extruded and thermoformed to produce very low density food service and consumer foam articles such as plates, hinged lid containers, trays, bowls, and egg cartons with good mechanical properties.
