Abstract:
An electronic flow meter includes a magnetic sensor, phase-A and phase-B drivers, a phase-A comparator, a phase-B comparator, a two-phase encoder, and a rotational speed timer. The two-phase encoder determines a normal/reverse direction where the impeller is rotated based on event signals sampled by the phase-A and the phase-B comparators, respectively, causing a counter to count up or to count down according to the normal/reverse direction as determined, thereby outputting an event count signal. The rotational speed timer calculates a rotational frequency of the impeller from the event count signal outputted by the two-phase encoder and sets frequencies of respective sampling signals of the phase-A and the phase-B comparators at a time when the rotational frequency of the impeller is measured next, and respective drive periods of the phase-A and the phase-B drivers in accordance with the rotational frequency of the impeller as calculated.
Abstract:
A WDM transmission apparatus to receive or relay WDM light in a WDM transmission system, includes a measuring unit configured to measure an optical level of each channel transmitted by the WDM light; an adjusting unit configured to adjust a resolution of the measuring unit; and a processing unit configured to obtain, for each channel, optical level information which represents an optical level respectively measured with a resolution corresponding to a bit rate of a transmission signal of each channel.
Abstract:
When the electrically driven fan (14) of a vacuum cleaner is driven, air containing dust is drawn into the cleaner main body (1) through a hose (7) connected to a hose socket (8) and is exhausted into the outside of the cleaner main body (1) through an exhaust port (1b) via first and second suction passageways (10, 13). Disposed outside the first suction passageway (10) is an ion generator (23), it being arranged that plus and minus ions generated in the ion generator (23) are fed to the air stream flowing in the first suction passageway (10). Since the plus and minus ions kill floating germs in the air stream, the exhaust can be purified.

Abstract:
A printing method for a thermal transfer receiving sheet in which an image is formed on an image transfer layer of the receiving sheet by superimposing the sheet onto a dye thermal transfer sheet and applying thereto heat from a thermal head of a thermal transfer printer; wherein, the thermal transfer printer has a thermal head and a platen roller in opposition thereto, and the following requirements (1) and (2) are satisfied simultaneously: (1) the ratio (L/R) of the length of the entire thermal transfer receiving sheet (L) to the radius (R) of the platen roller of the printer is 0.01 to 0.07; and, (2) after a thermal transfer image has been formed on the image receiving layer by the thermal head, the thermal transfer receiving sheet is transported by the back side thereof being wound onto the surface of the platen roller, and the winding angle is 2 to 25°.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a digital broadcasting receiving apparatus configured such that software served to control the behavior of the apparatus is divided into two pieces of software: a small piece of dedicated software (a) served to control a tuner and a large piece of software (b), i.e. main software, and that when the apparatus is switched on, the software (a) is first activated to perform received frequency setting, and in parallel with the receiving processes of the tuner, the software (b) is activated and executed. The apparatus can reduce the time required for a user to begin to watch images and listen to sounds after the apparatus is switched on.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a reaction system whereby a peptide produced in an in vitro peptide synthesis system can be efficiently isolated at a high purity from the reaction system. Thus the present invention is a process for producing a peptide or a peptide derivative by using a reaction system of transcribing a DNA into an RNA and then translating the RNA produced or a reaction system of translating an RNA in vitro wherein at least one protein component of the reaction system is labeled with a first substance which adheres to a second substance, and said second substance is used as an adsorbent for capturing said labeled protein components after translating.
Abstract:
A gaseous fuel discharge structure is used in a vehicle including an airtight cover disposed within a trunk thereof. The airtight cover covers a gaseous fuel containing tank. The structure includes an air introducing pipe and a gas discharging pipe both connected to the cover. If gaseous fuel leaks from within the tank, the structure is operated to discharge the gaseous fuel out of the vehicle. The air introducing pipe is provided with a fan. The air introducing pipe has an air intake flap while the gas discharging pipe has a discharge flap.
Abstract:
A microcomputer includes reloadable registers for prestoring count values corresponding to an ineffective interval and an effective interval which are set in accordance with the timing of a first edge and a second edge of a head pulse signal, and for setting these count values sequentially into a counter. Only when the first edge and second edge are input at predetermined timing through an event input terminal, that is, only when the head pulse signal is input, the interrupt signal is generated for changing the operation mode from a low current consumption mode to a normal operation mode. This makes it possible to prevent a mode transition due to noise, and reduce the power consumption of the microcomputer by making more effective use of the low current consumption mode by improving a mode transition identification rate.
