摘要： A medium issuing device includes a medium conveyance part, a print head, a sensor disposed on an upstream side of a conveyance passage with respect to the print head, a head drive part which moves the print head between a standby position and a printing position, a ribbon feeding part, and a control part. The control part controls so that, when detected that the sensor is turned on by a medium, the medium is conveyed at a first speed by the medium conveyance part, and the print head is started to move to the printing position by the head drive part and, in a case that a high speed mode is set, after the print head is contacted with the medium, the medium conveyance part and the ribbon feeding part are synchronously driven so that printing to the medium is performed at the second speed higher than the first speed.

摘要： According to one embodiment, a printing apparatus includes a shaft, an antenna, and a printing section. The shaft can be inserted into a cylindrical core of an ink ribbon roll wound around the cylindrical core. The shaft permits the ink ribbon roll to rotate about the shaft. The ink ribbon roll has a wireless tag for identification purposes or the like. The antenna is provided on the shaft for data communication with the wireless tag of the ink ribbon roll. The printing section performs printing on a medium using the ink ribbon drawn out from the ink ribbon roll.

摘要： A direct thermal and thermal transfer label combination is provided. The label includes a substrate, and the substrate includes a thermal print coating applied to a front side of the substrate. The label also includes a liner attached to a backside of the substrate along a first side of the liner. Further, an aqueous resin-based thermal transfer coating is applied to a second side of the liner. The front side of the label is capable of being imaged through direct thermal printing while the second side of the liner represents an opposite side of the label that is capable of being imaged through thermal transfer printing.

摘要： A printing device for printing on a label sheet includes a first print head to perform printing on a first side of a label sheet being conveyed along a conveyance path. The label sheet is interposed between the first print head and a first roller. A second print head is upstream of the first print head and performs printing on a second side of the label sheet. A second roller is adjacent the second print head across the conveyance path. A cutter is downstream of the first print head to cut off a first portion of the label sheet. A processor is configured to cause the label sheet to be conveyed in a second direction after the first portion is cut off from the sheet so that the cut end of the sheet reaches the first print head.

The hole and the one first aperture is located to intersect a virtual line orthogonal to the front wall when viewing along a vertical direction orthogonal to the top wall and the bottom wall.
