Abstract:
A method and system for servicing streaming media is disclosed. The method includes receiving the streaming media and determining an allocation of available processing and memory resources. In addition, the method includes performing a multi-stage service on the streaming media and caching an intermediate result from one of the stages of the multi-stage process. The intermediate result is selected according to the available processing and memory resources.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a method of processing instructions in a pipeline-based central processing unit, wherein the pipeline is partitioned into base pipeline stages and enhanced pipeline stages according to functions, the base pipeline stages being activated all the while, and the enhanced pipeline stages being activated or shutdown according to requirements for performance of a workload. The present invention further discloses a method of processing instructions in a pipeline-based central processing unit, wherein the pipeline is partitioned into base pipeline stages and enhanced pipeline stages according to functions, each pipeline stage being partitioned into a base module and at least one enhanced module, the base module being activated all the while, and the enhanced module being activated or shutdown according to requirements for performance of a workload.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides polynucleotides and related polypeptides related to urea uptake. The disclosure provides genomic sequences for urea transporter, urease and glutamine synthetase genes. Urea transporters, urease and glutamine synthetase are responsible for controlling nitrogen utilization efficiency in plants. Urea transporter, urease or glutamine synthetase sequences are provided for improving grain yield and plant growth. The disclosure further provides recombinant expression cassettes, host cells and transgenic plants.
Abstract:
A connecting rod assembly is capable of pushing the work head outward to allow more of the part of the work head to be exposed out of the connecting rod assembly, making it easier for the user to pull out the work head, thus solving the problem that it is difficult to pull the work head out of the conventional connecting rod structure since the conventional connecting rod structure doesn't have any function or devices to move the work head outwards.
Abstract:
A reversing device for a ratchet wrench comprises a body of the ratchet wrench, a ratchet wheel, a left engaging member, a right engaging member, a left spring, a right spring, a control member, and a control cover. Both of the left and right engaging members, when subjected to a force, will not be in contact with the control member, so that, the problem that the left or right engaging member, when subjected to a force, will push the control member to reversely rotate and cause slippage, can be solved.

Abstract:
Compositions related to the quantitative trait locus 6 (QTL6) in maize and methods for their use are provided. The compositions are novel molecular marker loci that are genetically linked with QTL6 and which are associated with increased oil content and/or increased oleic acid content and/or an increased oleic acid/linoleic acid ratio of a plant or plant part thereof. These novel markers are characterized by the presence of at least one polymorphism relative to the corresponding marker locus from the QTL6 region of non-high-oil, non-high-oleic acid maize plants. In some embodiments, the novel marker loci comprise coding sequence for a maize DGAT1-2 polypeptide or biologically active variant thereof. The marker loci of the invention, and suitable fragments thereof, are useful in methods of the invention for manipulating oil and/or oleic acid content and/or oleic acid/lineolic acid ratio of a plant or plant part thereof, for marker-assisted selection of a plant, for example, a maize plant, or plant part thereof, having an increased oil content and/or increased oleic acid content and/or an increased oleic acid/linoleic acid ratio, and for marker-assisted breeding of the high oil and/or high oleic acid trait.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an interrupt dispatching system and method in a multi-core processor environment. The processor includes an interrupt dispatcher and N cores capable of interrupt handling which are divided into a plurality of groups of cores, where N is a positive integer greater than one. The method generates a token in response to an arriving interrupt; determines a group of cores to be preferentially used to handle the interrupt as a hot group in accordance with the interrupt; and sends the token to the hot group, determines sequentially from the first core in the hot group whether an interrupt dispatch termination condition is satisfied, and determines the current core as a response core to be used to handle the interrupt upon determining satisfaction of the interrupt dispatch termination condition. With the invention, delay in responding to an interrupt by the processor is reduced providing optimized performance of the processor.
