摘要: A sleeved gastrojejunostomy (GJ) tube, according to the present invention, includes an inner cannula or feeding cannula that is housed in a sleeve. This arrangement allows the inner cannula to be replaced easily at the bedside by non-specialists. Traditional methods to insert the sleeved GJ tube are utilized, but in the event of feeding cannula damage or clogs, the inner cannula can be easily removed and a new one can be placed, without the need for fluoroscopy or anesthesia. The use of sleeved GJ tubes will expedite patient care, reduce complications, and decrease healthcare costs. The present invention aims to solve the common issue of a clogged GJ Tube. Clogged GJ tubes lead to emergency room visits, hospital admission, and interventional procedures. The present invention would enable exchanges of a clogged feeding cannula by providers or parents without radiation, sedation, or room time.

The fiber battery disclosed herein can be a sub-millimeter (mm) diameter active battery stack having a coating that provides a fiber having a diameter of up to 1 mm that can be woven, stitched, knitted, or otherwise incorporated into a fabric.

摘要: Coronavirus egress is mediated by lysosomal exocytosis. It is demonstrated herein that the D614G mutation enhances Spike trafficking to lysosomes and the lysosomal accumulation of newly synthesized virus particles, augments Spike-mediated disruption of endomembrane homeostasis, and causes a 3-fold reduction in cell surface Spike expression. Moreover, it is shown that the D614G mutation is an intragenic suppressor of the 12 nucleotide-long furin cleavage site (FCS) insertion, restoring Spike trafficking to lysosomes and TMPRSS2-independent infectivity, both of which had been impaired by the prior FCS insertion mutation. This data identifies enhanced lysosomal sorting as the earliest known manifestation of the D614G mutation, have implications for virus evolution, immunity, and vaccine design, and support a lysosomal model of coronavirus biogenesis and entry.

摘要: A computer-implemented method for training and using a neural network to predict a coherence function includes: training a neural network by mapping a plurality of different sets of training input samples to respective coherence function truths to generate a trained neural network; receiving an operational input sample; inputting the operational input sample into the trained neural network; obtaining, from the trained neural network, a coherence function mapped to the operational input sample in response to the inputting the operational input sample into the trained neural network; and executing a computer-based instruction based on obtaining the coherence function. The coherence function may be used to differentiate solid masses from fluid-filled masses.

The RVHE may include one or more stacked laterals oriented along SHmax. Each stacked lateral, of the one or more stacked laterals, may include one or more vertical branches oriented along S1. The RVHE may be configured to extract energy from a non-hydrothermal source of energy.
