摘要: A catheter includes a proximal shaft, a distal shaft, a pressure sensor, and at least one pressure sensor wire. The proximal shaft is substantially C-shaped such that in cross-section, the proximal shaft includes a first circumferential end, a second circumferential end, and a gap between the first circumferential and circumferential end. The proximal shaft defines a groove configured to receive a guidewire therein. The distal shaft is coupled to the proximal shaft and defines a guidewire lumen therein. The pressure sensor is coupled to the distal shaft. The pressure sensor wire is operably connected to the pressure sensor. A proximal portion of the pressure sensor wire is disposed within a proximal shaft wall of the proximal shaft and a distal portion of the pressure sensor wire is disposed within a distal shaft wall of the distal shaft.

摘要: An introducer sheath includes an elongated tubular member having a passageway extending generally longitudinally therethrough. The passageway is defined by an inner surface of the tubular member and configured to receive a medical device movably disposed therein. The introducer sheath further includes a reinforcing member engaged with the inner surface of the tubular member and extending into the passageway such that a non-uniform surface for receiving the medical device is defined thereby. The reinforcing member also has a surface therein suitable for facilitating movement of the medical device through the passageway.

摘要: Cut-pattern designs creating a frame structure from a solid tube, which may be used as a portion of medical device, such as a catheter. The tube includes a plurality of units of cutout segments which are distributed in band around a circumference of the tube. A tube can have multiple different zones, each having units with varying cutout segments. The cutout segments can have varying cutout surface area allowing the flexibility of the tube to be modified at any point along the tube by altering the cutout surface area with zones having greater cutout surface areas as compared to another zone are more flexible. The tube can be incorporated into a catheter.

摘要: A dilation catheter system comprises a guide member, a dilation catheter, and an image sensor. The guide member includes a shaft comprising a distal end and a proximal end. The shaft defines a longitudinal axis. The dilation catheter comprises an expandable dilator and is movable relative to the guide member. The expandable dilator is sized to fit within one or both of a Eustachian tube or a passageway associated with a paranasal sinus. The image sensor is configured to provide visualization within anatomy of a patient. The image sensor is integral with the dilation catheter.

摘要: Devices and methods are disclosed for widening a channel in a treatment site, the channel containing a guide-wire. The channel is widened by advancing an elongated dilation device, which is configured to fit tightly over the guide-wire at the distal tip of the dilation device and to provide a distal dilating surface, over the guide-wire and at least partially through the treatment site. The dilation device comprises a tubular metallic shaft, typically a metal inner tube, for providing sufficient stiffness and column strength for the dilator to be advanced at least partially through the channel, and a flexible sleeve providing a tapered distal tip. The distal end of the dilator defines a leading surface that is shaped to force away portions of a lesion surrounding the guide-wire away from the guide-wire as the distal end is advanced over the guide-wire through the lesion, whereby a channel through the lesion is at least partially dilated.

摘要: At least one distal side slope path is formed by penetrating an outer peripheral wall in the vicinity of a distal portion of a sheath main body and at least one proximal side slope path is formed by penetrating an outer peripheral wall in the vicinity of a proximal portion of the sheath main body. The at least one distal side slope path is inclined onto a proximal side from the outer peripheral surface to the inner peripheral surface of the sheath main body and the at least one proximal side slope path is inclined onto a distal side from the outer peripheral surface to the inner peripheral surface of the sheath main body. Therefore, blood is made to flow into a lumen and is made to flow out from the lumen along the blood flow in a blood vessel.
