摘要: A method for producing ammonia by catalytically reacting hydrogen provided in a first feed stream and nitrogen provided in a second feed stream is proposed, the hydrogen in the first feed stream being at least in part formed by water electrolysis and the nitrogen in the second feed stream being at least in part formed by cryogenic air separation, wherein said cryogenic air separation is performed using an air separation unit comprising a rectification column system, a recycle stream being formed in the air separation unit from a gas stream at least predominantly comprising nitrogen which is withdrawn from the rectification column system, the recycle stream being, in the order indicated, compressed, cooled, expanded and reintroduced into the rectification column system, and wherein waste heat from said catalytically reacting hydrogen and nitrogen is transferred to a steam system providing steam.

摘要: A method for producing ethylene and/or other olefins by steam cracking includes charging one or more crackers with a paraffin-containing feed and withdrawing a crude gas from the one or more crackers. The crude gas is subjected at least in part to a treatment comprising a crude gas compression and a thermal separation using a C2 refrigerant and a C3 refrigerant. A crude gas compressor is used for the crude gas compression, wherein the ethylene refrigerant is compressed using a C2 refrigerant compressor. The propylene refrigerant is compressed using a C3 refrigerant compressor. The crude gas compressor comprises two serial compressor trains. The compressor trains, the C2 refrigerant compressor and the C3 refrigerant compressor are each operated at least in part using electrical drives, which have at least partially identical performance features, are provided as structurally identical variable-speed drives, and are each fed via frequency converters.

摘要: A method of steam cracking using a steam cracking arrangement including an electric cracking furnace without a convection zone and a quench cooling train is proposed, wherein a process gas stream is passed through the cracking furnace and the cooling train. The cooling train is operated to comprise at least two distinct cooling steps arranged in either order, wherein in a first cooling step at least a part of the process gas stream withdrawn from the electric cracking furnace is cooled against vaporizing boiler feed water at an absolute pressure level between 30 and 175 bar and wherein in a second cooling step at least a part of the process gas stream withdrawn from the electric cracking furnace is cooled against a superheated mixture of feed hydrocarbons and process steam used in forming the process gas stream which is thereby heated to a temperature level between 350 and 750° C.
