    摘要: A method and apparatus of producing high purity oxygen in connection with low purity liquid oxygen produced by a plurality of cryogenic air separation plants. The low purity liquid oxygen from the air separation plants is introduced into a distillation column of an auxiliary cryogenic rectification plant that is reboiled by nitrogen also produced by such the air separation plants. Nitrogen is separated from the low purity liquid oxygen to produce high purity liquid oxygen from residual liquid located in a bottom region of the distillation column that can be taken as a product. Optionally, an argon column can be connected to the distillation column to produce a liquid argon product stream.

    摘要: A method for providing refrigeration to a cryogenic rectification plant which enables the facile provision of varying amounts of refrigeration to the plant wherein a working fluid is pressurized in a recycle compressor, a first portion is at least partially condensed in a heat exchanger and passed into the plant, a second portion is cooled and then turboexpanded to generate refrigeration, the refrigeration bearing second portion passes refrigeration in the heat exchanger to the first portion to effect the condensation, and the resulting second portion is not passed into the cryogenic rectification plant but rather is returned to the recycle compressor.

The inside of the first rectification column 6 is demarcated to an upper rectifying part 12, and upper-stage middle rectifying part 13, a lower-stage middle rectifying part 14 and a lower rectifying part 15. To the upper part 11 above the upper rectifying part 12 is connected a nitrogen condenser 8. A second rectification column 7 is demarcated to an upper rectifying part 22 and a lower rectifying part 23, and has a reboiler 25 provided under its lower rectifying part 22. Ultra high purity liquid nitrogen is recovered from between the upper rectifying part 12 and upper-stage middle rectifying part 13 of the first rectification column 6, and ultra high purity liquid oxygen is recovered from below the lower rectifying part 23 of the second rectification column 7.

    摘要: A generator produces ultra-high purity nitrogen and ultra-high purity oxygen simultaneously by the liquefaction and rectification of feed air. Feed air is rectified in a first rectification column, and nitrogen gas separated to the top of that column is liquefied, in a nitrogen condenser, by oxygen-enriched liquid air separated to the bottom portion of the first rectification column. The oxygen-enriched liquid is fed to the upper portion of a second rectification column having a reboiler at its bottom, so that through rectification oxygen gas is fed from above a liquid reservoir to the lower portion of a third rectification column. Through rectification of the oxygen gas in the third rectification column, high purity oxygen gas, from which impurities having boiling points higher than that of oxygen have been removed by liquefaction, is fed to the center portion of a fourth rectification column which has a condenser in its top portion and a reboiler in its bottom portion. Through rectification of the high purity oxygen gas in the fourth rectification column, impurities having boiling points lower than that of oxygen are exhausted from the top portion thereof as non-condensed gas and ultra-high purity liquid oxygen is separated to the bottom thereof.
