摘要: A material system for producing a water-soluble casting mold, comprising at least one water-soluble material for building a casting mold in a layering method, as well as comprising at least one material for sealing the surface of the casting mold. The water-soluble material is a material for building the casting mold using a powder bed-based layering method. The sealing material is preferably water insoluble. The material system may also include a free-flowing, hardenable material, which is preferably a hydraulically setting material. The materials of the casting mold are preferably dissolved with the aid of an aqueous solution, and in particular with the aid of a heated aqueous solution.

摘要: The invention relates to a method for preparing a fiber-reinforced article, having attached to at least part of its surface a layer of a material that is not fiber-reinforced, comprising the steps of 1) preparing a shell via an additive manufacturing technique, the shell —being of a material that is not fiber-reinforced; and —having a surface that corresponds in negative relief to a surface of the article formed in step 3); thereafter 10 2) applying —long and/or continuous reinforcement fibers; and —a curable resin to the surface of the shell that is in negative relief, to form a mixture of curable resin and long and/or continuous reinforcement fibers on the 1 surface of the shell, so that the surface of the mixture contacting the shell adopts the shape of the surface of the shell that is in negative relief; thereafter 3) curing the curable resin to form the fiber-reinforced article having attached to at least part of its surface a layer of a material that is not 20 fiber-reinforced.

摘要: A novel 3D printing technique is used to mobilize a 3D printer while printing thus creating an unlimited build volume. The 3D printer is mobilized by printing track or scaffold that guides the 3D printer as it moves in a spiral or helical, corkscrew, or linear fashion. After printing a segment the printer subsequently utilizes the track or scaffold printed during the process, after the material has set to the desired or specified hardness, for advancement and support of the printer.

摘要: A repair system that includes a handheld device comprising a first extruder tip having an interior passageway extending between an inlet and a tip outlet, wherein the inlet is configured to receive a solid thermoplastic material and the tip outlet is configured to dispense a fluidic thermoplastic material; a nozzle surrounding the first extruder tip to form an annulus between an interior surface of the nozzle and an exterior surface of the first extruder tip; and a heater that is configured to heat the interior passageway of the first extruder tip such that the solid thermoplastic material becomes the fluidic thermoplastic material. In some embodiments, the repair system also includes a gas source in fluid communication with the annulus such that a skirt-shaped curtain of gas extends from the annulus and in a direction towards the tip outlet of the extruder tip.

摘要: This invention provides resin formulations which may be used for 3D printing and pyrolyzing to produce a ceramic matrix composite. The resin formulations contain a solid-phase filler, to provide high thermal stability and mechanical strength (e.g., fracture toughness) in the final ceramic material. The invention provides direct, free-form 3D printing of a preceramic polymer loaded with a solid-phase filler, followed by converting the preceramic polymer to a 3D-printed ceramic matrix composite with potentially complex 3D shapes or in the form of large parts. Other variations provide active solid-phase functional additives as solid-phase fillers, to perform or enhance at least one chemical, physical, mechanical, or electrical function within the ceramic structure as it is being formed as well as in the final structure. Solid-phase functional additives actively improve the final ceramic structure through one or more changes actively induced by the additives during pyrolysis or other thermal treatment.

摘要: Systems and methods for generating a model of an object that includes the surface reflectance details of the object are disclosed. The surface reflectance properties of the object comprising at least separate components for the object diffuse data and the object specular data are received. A 3D model of the object is generated wherein the reflectance properties of the model are configured based on the reflectance properties of the object surface. The object diffuse data determines the color to be used in generating the model and the object specular data determines one of the attributes of the coating for the model or the material to be used for generating the model.

摘要: A method for inspection of additive manufactured parts and monitoring operational performance of an additive manufacturing apparatus is provided. The method includes a heating step for heating an area of a build platform on which at least one part is built by the additive manufacturing apparatus. An obtaining step is used for obtaining, in real-time during an additively manufactured build process, a thermographic scan of the area of the build platform. An evaluating step evaluates, by a processor, the thermographic scan. A determining step determines, based on the evaluating, whether an operational flaw with the additive manufacturing apparatus has occurred or a defect in the at least one part has occurred.

摘要: A distributed manufacturing platform and related techniques connect designers, manufacturers (e.g., 3D printer owners and other traditional manufacturers), shippers, and other entities and simplifies the process of manufacturing and supplying new and existing products. A distributed ledger or blockchain may be used to record transactions, execute smart contracts, and perform other operations to increase transparency and integrity of supply chain. Blockchain enabled packaging can be used to track movement and conditions of packages from manufacture, through transit, to delivery.

摘要: A model of a body part, e.g., liver, of which the internal structure can be observed easily; and others. In a liver model according to the present invention, the liver parenchyma is formed in the form of a frame to make it possible to observe the portal, veins, a tumor and others in the inside of the frame 31a easily. In addition, the liver model can be handled easily by gripping a gripping part provided at the lower end surface of the inferior vena cava, and the tumor is integrated with the liver model by means of a joint part. The liver model can be manufactured from a model material using a 3D printer on the basis of three-dimensional shape data for model manufacturing purposes, which are produced using an information processing device.
