摘要: Molded foam articles in the form of containers are provided. The containers have at least two portions formed from polylactic acid-based molded bead foam and joined together using a heat-seal. The at least two portions are tailor-made to have a specific size and shape suitable for thermally sensitive commodities and may be customized based on the intended destination for the commodities and potential changes in weather in route. The containers may include one or more stand-offs for providing additional thermal energy protection, further enhancing the customizability of the containers. The containers may be formed from a single, flat foam panel that is cut and formed into a container on site, dramatically increasing the versatility of the container and reducing the carbon footprint associated with the container.

A dimensioning mechanism determines the outer dimensions of the stack and a converting assembly creates a box template that when erected forms a box that is custom sized to the dimensions of the stack. A crowder assembly holds and maintains the stack in the desired configuration while the box template is at least partially folded around the stack. The box template is secured around the stack in the form of a box.

摘要: A container filling valve may include a shuttle and a drive sleeve that are magnetically coupled. Movement of the drive sleeve may move the shuttle from a position in which the filling valve is closed to a position in which the filling valve is open. A container handling arm may include a distal end configured to hold a container and a proximal end that includes a load cell. A low flow setpoint system may be configured to arrest closing of a filling valve when that filling valve is partially closed. A pressure control system may be configured to maintain a desired pressure in a reservoir or in a flow path from that reservoir. A product recirculation system may be configured to adjust flow rate in the product recirculation system.

摘要: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are disclosed for automated custom shipping containers. In one embodiment, an example system may include a depth camera, a first robotic arm configured to grasp objects, a box making machine configured to generate boxes, and a computer system. The computer system may be configured to determine a depth map of a first object and a second object using the depth camera, determine a first dimension of the first object, determine a second dimension of the second object, and determine a first box dimension for a box in which the first object and the second object are to be placed using the first dimension and the second dimension. The computer system may be configured to cause the box making machine to produce the box, and cause the first robotic arm to place the first object and the second object into the box.

The processes can include utilizing a reusable packing sheet positioned underneath complementary articles of footwear to transfer the complementary articles of footwear into a container. The processes can also include removing the reusable packing sheet from underneath the complementary articles of footwear while the complementary articles of footwear remain positioned in the container. Additional processes can include aligning and sizing complementary articles of footwear for packing in a container.

The ice distribution device has an ice width adjuster device for interacting with the received ice prior to distributing the received ice into the open upper side of the boxes while the boxes pass the ice distribution device. The ice width adjuster device is controlled by the control unit using at least one characteristic parameter relating to the boxes including the width of the boxes as a control command in adjusting the width of the width adjuster device.
