Abstract: A computer-implemented method for identifying objects in an environment is disclose. The method comprises: receiving image data representing the environment from one or more cameras; analysing the image data to detect objects in the environment and for each detected object, assigning a preliminary identification label and confidence factor to the object; receiving environmental data from one or more environmental sensors, analysing the environmental data to detect classification indicators and for each detected object, modifying the confidence factor assigned to the object if a classification indicator correlates with the preliminary identification label and/or using one or more measurement sensors to measure one or more physical characteristics relating to a set of objects at a predefined location within the environment, the set of objects being included within the detected objects, and, for each measured physical characteristic, modifying the confidence factor associated with each object in the set if the physical characteristic corresponds to an expected value for the objects found at the predefined location; and for each detected object, identifying the object by associating with it a final identification label equal to the preliminary identification label if the confidence factor assigned to the object meets a predefined criterion.

Abstract: In various implementations, a device includes an environmental sensor, a non-transitory memory and one or more processors coupled with the environmental sensor and the non-transitory memory. In some implementations, a method includes, while the device is in a physical environment that includes a fixed spatial point and a person, obtaining, via the environmental sensor, spatial data corresponding to a-physical environment and the person. The method includes determining, based on the spatial data, a position of a first body portion of the person relative to the fixed spatial point. Determining the position of the first body portion is based on a distance between the device and the fixed spatial point and based on a distance between the device and the first body portion. The method includes generating, based on the position of the first body portion, pose information for the first body portion relative to the fixed spatial point.

Abstract: Systems and methods for gesture-based systems for human following are described. For example, a method includes detecting a human in a first image captured using an image sensor connected to a vehicle; inputting the first image to a first machine learning model to obtain a first pose of the human; comparing the first pose to pose parameters for an authentication gesture; authenticating the human based on a match to enable gesture commands from the human; inputting a second image captured using the image sensor to the first machine learning model to obtain a second pose of the human; comparing the second pose to pose parameters for a follow gesture; commencing a follow mode based on a match between the second pose and the follow gesture occurring after authentication of the human; and controlling the vehicle to follow the human responsive to being in the follow mode.

Abstract: The present invention relates to methods for visual display of images of real shelvings with products for analysis of shelving contents. There are provided methods for constructing a shelving front panorama. A method comprises: capturing color image frames of the shelving, displaying the shelving and its contents; reconstructing a shelving 3D model based of depth data and capturing device position data for each frame; determining a projection plane corresponding to the shelving front edge; stitching the color image frames of the shelving by projective transformation of each color image frame of the shelving onto the projection plane. The resulting shelving front panorama displays the shelving and its contents. The disclosure eliminates the need for observing frontal orientation of each shelving image frame when capturing images of the shelving; the capturing can be made along an arbitrary path.

Abstract: A display apparatus has a display area of an output image divided into a plurality of regions. For a given region of the output image, a corresponding first region in a video-see-through (VST) image and a corresponding second region in at least one virtual-reality (VR) image are determined. From a depth map corresponding to the VST image, a minimum optical depth and a maximum optical depth in the first region of the VST image are determined. From a depth map corresponding to the at least one VR image, a minimum optical depth and a maximum optical depth in the second region of the at least one VR image are determined. When the minimum optical depth in the first region of the VST image is greater than the maximum optical depth in the second region of the at least one VR image, pixel data for pixels in the given region of the output image from the second region of the at least one VR image is fetched. Otherwise, when the minimum optical depth in the second region of the at least one VR image is greater than the maximum optical depth in the first region of the VST image, the pixel data for the pixels in the given region of the output image from the first region of the VST image is fetched.

Abstract: Disclosed are a super-resolution reconstruction method and an apparatus for three-dimensional contrast-enhanced ultrasound images, a computer readable storage medium and an electronic device. The method includes: performing at least one thinning operation on a first three-dimensional local image sequence, the thinning operation being configured to enhance motion trajectories of microbubbles; and performing an image reconstruction operation based on the first three-dimensional local image sequence subjected to the at least one thinning operation, so as to generate three-dimensional super-resolution images. The super-resolution reconstruction method for the three-dimensional contrast-enhanced ultrasound images, by means of performing thinning operations (for example, respectively performing a first thinning operation and a second thinning operation) on the first three-dimensional local image sequence, highlights motion trajectories of microbubbles, thereby improving a signal-to-noise ratio of an image. Compared with a prior method, the reconstruction efficiency and precision of the three-dimensional super-resolution imaging are improved.
