摘要: A device for communicating with a plurality of user equipment in a cellular network comprises a non-transitory memory having instructions and one or more processors in communication with the memory. The one or more processors execute the instructions to receive information regarding a faked base station including an operating frequency, location area code and cell identification of the faked base station, prepare a first message to alert of the faked base station, select the plurality of user equipment that may receive a signal from the faked base station, transmit the first message to alert of the faked base station to the plurality of user equipment and transmit a second message to bar the plurality of user equipment from connecting to the faked base station.

摘要: A method for determining whether to attempt to attach to a network by a machine type communication (MTC) device is described. A triggering event is detected. A radio frame is received from a base station. The radio frame includes a current access class of the base station. The radio frame is the first radio frame to include the current access class after the triggering event. It is determined if the MTC device has access privileges to the base station. It is then decided whether to attempt to attach to a network based on if the MTC device has access privileges.

摘要: In the context of an execution of a pairing phase for pairing at least one communication device with a wireless access point creating a plurality of cells in distinct respective spectral bands, the wireless access point: obtains a sequencing of the cells created by the access point according to a criterion of occupation of the spectral bands; and activates a systematic authorisation of pairing via each cell during a first predefined duration, of any communication device that so requests, starting from the cell in the least occupied spectral band up to the cell in the most occupied spectral band according to the sequencing obtained, applying a shift in time of a second predefined duration that is at least equal to a period of time statistically necessary for the communication device to effect the pairing with the wireless access point and which is strictly less than said first predefined period.

摘要: A system and method to perform load-balancing and congestion control between a primary Radio Access Technology (RAT) and a secondary RAT. A broadcast message is sent to all User Equipments (UEs) operating under the secondary RAT. If the primary RAT is congested, a congestion indicator in the broadcast message prevents the UEs from idle re-selecting or switching to the primary RAT. Even if the primary RAT is not congested, the broadcast message may still include other parameters such as one or more probability values, a group identifier for the UE groups, and a retention timer. The idle UEs in the secondary RAT that generate device-specific random values that are equal to or greater than the applicable probability threshold value(s) are allowed to reselect the primary RAT. If an idle UE fails this probability test, it may not be allowed to reselect the primary RAT again until the retention timer expires.
