Abstract:
According to an embodiment, a structured document management device includes a parser; a constraint acquiring unit; and a parse tree rewriting unit. The structured document receiving unit is configured to receive an input of a structured document having a layered logical structure. The parser is configured to parse the syntax of received query data to acquire a parse tree in which the query data is decomposed so as to meet a static single assignment form which is defined such that each variable is assigned exactly once. The constraint acquiring unit is configured to acquire a hierarchical condition that the variables of the parse tree need to meet and constraints that include conditions for values of the respective variables. The parse tree rewriting unit is configured to rewrite the query data in such a form that the structured document is refinable by the constraints.
Abstract:
A system and program product for analyzing textual information and providing a visual representative of a summary of such textual information in the form of a ranked list of icons. A text to icon engine is used that takes as input a textual document. A plurality of icons are each associated to a specific rule such that when the text to icon engine processes textual input, it will apply the rules associated with the icons and return a value that represents how much the text belongs to a specific icon.
Abstract:
The present invention provides methods and apparatus for generating a three dimensional output which includes a continuum of image data sprayed over three-dimensional models. The three-dimensional models can be representative of features captured by the image data wherein image data can be captured at multiple disparate points along another continuum. The user interface can also include multiple modalities of image data and statistical analysis of the image data.
Abstract:
Methods, systems and devices are provided for motion-activated display of messages on an activity monitoring device. In one embodiment, method for presenting a message on an activity monitoring device is provided, including the following method operations: storing a plurality of messages to the activity monitoring device; detecting a stationary state of the activity monitoring device; detecting a movement of the activity monitoring device from the stationary state; in response to detecting the movement from the stationary state, selecting one of a plurality of messages, and displaying the selected message on the activity monitoring device.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for processing a memo in a portable terminal are provided. The method includes displaying a memo screen, detecting a memo input in the memo screen, processing the memo input to generate an image, adjusting a line spacing of the memo screen according to the image, and adjusting the image to a default line spacing.
Abstract:
Video drive-by data provides a street level view of a neighborhood surrounding a selected geographic location. A video and data server farm incorporates a video storage server that stores video image files containing video drive-by data corresponding to a geographic location, a database server that processes a data query received from a user over the Internet corresponding to a geographic location of interest, and an image processing server. In operation, the database server identifies video image files stored in the video storage server that correspond to the geographic location of interest contained in the data query and transfers the video image files over a pre-processing network to the image processing server. The image processing server converts the video drive-by data to post-processed video data corresponding to a desired image format and transfers the post-processed video data via a post-processing network to the Internet in response to the query.
Abstract:
A word pattern recognition system improves text input entered via a shorthand-on-keyboard interface. A core lexicon comprises commonly used words in a language; an extended lexicon comprises words not included in the core lexicon. The system only directly outputs words from the core lexicon. Candidate words from the extended lexicon can be outputted and simultaneously admitted to the core lexicon upon user selection. A concatenation module enables a user to input parts of a long word separately. A compound word module combines two common shorter words whose concatenation forms a long word.
Abstract:
A method, a computer program product, and an apparatus for managing a voice communication are provided. In one illustrative embodiment, an audio phrase produced by a first user is identified in the voice communication between the first user and a second user. A determination is made whether the audio phrase is present in a policy which prohibits the transmission of the set of undesired audio phrases. Responsive to a determination that the audio phrase is present in the policy which prohibits the transmission of the set of undesired audio phrases, a communication of the audio phrase is modified.
Abstract:
Techniques are provided which aggregate user selected content using a browser extension. A user may select content displayed in a web browser. The selected content may be captured, and the corresponding bibliographic information may be extracted by the browser extension. The user may input notes relating to the selected content. The selected content, bibliographic information and notes may be transmitted by the browser extension to one or more servers for storage, and may be associated with a user project entry. A subset of the bibliographic information may be presented to the user in accordance with a user selected bibliographic format.
Abstract:
An example method involves (i) accessing first data representing text, wherein the text defines at least one position representing a particular type of grammatical break between two portions of the text; (ii) identifying, from among the at least one position, a position that is closest to a target position within the text; (iii) based on the identified position within the text, generating second data that represents a proper subset of the text, wherein the proper subset extends from an initial position within the text to the identified position within the text; and (iv) providing output based on the generated second data.
