    Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for providing an enhanced Packet Forwarding Control Protocol (PFCP) association procedure for session restoration. In this regard, a method performed by a PFCP node comprises deleting one or more PFCP sessions of the PFCP node that are associated with a failed PFCP entity or with a failed PFCP path. The method further comprises sending, to a PFCP peer node, a node level message to request that the PFCP peer node delete a corresponding one or more PFCP sessions of the PFCP peer node that are associated with the failed PFCP entity or with the failed PFCP path, wherein the node level message comprises an indication of the corresponding one or more PFCP sessions. Some embodiments provide that the node level message comprises a PFCP Association Setup Request including sessions retention information to indicate whether to retain PFCP sessions associated with the PFCP Association Setup Request.

    Abstract: A method for a target mobility management entity and a target mobility management entity for executing the method in a core network to communicate network function (NF) utilization information with a source mobility management entity during a change of mobility management entity are disclosed. The method comprises: receiving at least one old NF identifier (ID) from the source mobility management entity that corresponds to an old NF entity serving a user equipment (UE); determining to either use the at least one old NF ID or to use at least one new NF ID that corresponds to a new NF entity of a same NF type as the old NF entity; and communicating, to the source mobility management entity, information that indicates to the source mobility management entity whether the target mobility management entity uses the at least one old NF ID or uses the at least one new NF ID.

    Abstract: The invention relates to mobility management nodes and methods of the mobility management nodes of enabling delivery of a Mobile Terminating, (MT) Short Message (SM) to a mobile terminal.
    In a first aspect of the invention, a method of a mobility management node is provided for enabling delivery of a Mobile Terminating, (MT) Short Message (SM) to a mobile terminal which currently is in extended idle mode discontinuous reception, eDRX, mode.     Abstract: The embodiments herein relate to a method performed by a Control Plane (CP) function (401) for handling a credit pool comprising granted service units to be used by multiple services. The multiple services are grouped in at least one first Rating Group (RG). The CP function (401) creates an individual Usage Reporting Rule (URR) for each of the at least one first RG. Each individual URR comprises a first credit pool threshold. The CP function provides the individual URRs to a User Plane (UP) function (405). The CP function (401) creates a Usage Reporting Rule for the Credit Pool (URR CRPL). The URR CRPL comprises instructions to the UP function (405) to aggregate service unit usage for all individual URRs for all first RGs. The URR CRPL further comprises the first credit pool threshold. The CP function (401) provides the URR CRPL to the UP function (405).

    Abstract: The embodiments herein relate to a method performed by a gateway (108, 110, 1308, 1310). The gateway (108, 110, 1308, 1310) detects a bearer mismatch between a first set of bearers and a second set of bearers known by the gateway (108, 110, 1308, 1310) and associated with said same PDN connection and UE (101). The gateway (108, 110, 1308, 1310) accepts, during a time interval, the received modify bearer or modify access bearers request message even though the bearer mismatch has been detected.

    Abstract: A core network node creates a General Packet Radio Service, GPRS, Tunneling Protocol, GTP, message, which GTP message comprises a GTP header followed by at least one information element, IE, associated with a special IE type in a set of predefined IE types and which IE comprises a plurality of fields wherein the special IE type is identified by a value encoded in a predefined IE Type Field in a first Octet of the IE, the method comprising: reserving an IE Type Extension field in a fourth and fifth octet of the IE or in a fifth and sixth octet of the IE, for enabling a definition of an additional set of new IE types being an extension of the special IE type; and configuring the reserved IE Type Extension field so as to define at least one new IE type in addition to the predefined set of IE types.
