    Abstract: The disclosure relates to a network management entity (ME) in a communications network (CN), the network management entity (ME) being configured to; receive (S10) a request message (REQm), transmitted by a network serving entity (SE), indicating deletion of a bearer connection for a user equipment (UE, 600), transmit (S40) a release message (RELm) towards a network entity (NE), receive (S50) a complete message (COMPm +IDU) transmitted by the network entity (NE), confirming that the user equipment (UE, 600) is released, and comprising information regarding data usage (IDU), and transmit (S60) a response message (RESPm +IDU) towards the network serving entity (SE), acknowledging deletion of the bearer connection of the user equipment (UE, 600), in response to receiving the complete message (COMPm +IDU). The disclosure also relates to methods performed in a network management entity (ME).

    Abstract: Embodiments described herein relate to managing wireless connections within a spatially-dense setting like a passenger vehicle, thereby improving quality and reliability of individual wireless connections. An example method includes detecting a connection request from a passenger device requesting a wireless connection with a seatback device in a first in-vehicle location. The method includes defining a density zone that includes other in-vehicle locations surrounding the first in-vehicle location. The density zone localizes an area within which other wireless connections may be disruptive to the wireless connection. The method includes determining, via a token server that stores connection tokens that each describe an existing connection, a number of particular tokens that describe existing connections located within the density zone. The method includes selectively granting or denying the requested wireless connection by comparing the number of particular tokens with a maximum number of connections or a capacity for the density zone.

    Abstract: A network exposure function (NEF) may include one or more processors and memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the NEF to perform a process. The process can include transmitting, to a session management function (SMF), a message that includes downlink data from an application server and for transmission to a wireless device and a release assistance indicator (RAI).
