    Abstract: Systems and methods for session continuity of Multicast Broadcast (MB) Sessions are provided. In some embodiments, a method performed by a base station for session continuity of MB Sessions includes at least one of: providing at least one MB Session to a wireless device connected in 5G; determining that the wireless device is handed over to a target Next Generation Radio Access Network (NG-RAN); and providing session continuity of the at least one MB Session to the wireless device. In some embodiments, being handed over to the target NG-RAN comprises an Xn handover. In some embodiments, being handed over to the target NG-RAN comprises a N2 handover. Some embodiments of the current disclosure provide support for Multicast Broadcast Session continuity (aka “Handover”) at Inter-gNB Xn Handover and Inter-gNB N2 Handover in the 5G NR radio access.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method of operation of a wireless device to provide service gap control in a wireless communication system, comprising: receiving a service gap parameter from a network entity in a mobility management sublayer non-access stratum message, the service gap parameter being indicative of a value for a service gap timer for the wireless device; and enforcing the service gap parameter at the wireless device in a non-access stratum layer. Also disclosed herein is a method of operation of a core network entity in a core network of a wireless communication system to provide service gap control, comprising: obtaining a service gap parameter for a wireless device, the service gap parameter being indicative of a value for a service gap timer for the wireless device; and sending the service gap parameter to the wireless device via a mobility management sublayer non-access stratum message.

    Abstract: Methods are provided to operate an SMF node. A request to create a session for a wireless device is received. A communication establishment request is transmitted to an NEF node responsive to receiving the request to create the session for the wireless device, wherein the communication establishment request includes UPF node information for a tunnel between a UPF node and the NEF node to be used for the session for the wireless device.     Abstract: Systems and methods for wireless device triggered connection resume with early data transmission are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a method performed by a wireless device for triggering a connection resume with early data transmission comprises sending, to a radio access node, a first Radio Resource Control (RRC) message for resuming an RRC connection of the wireless device. The first RRC message comprises uplink data for early data transmission and Access Stratum (AS) Release Assistance Information (RAI). The AS RAI comprises information that indicates that no subsequent downlink and uplink data are expected, information that indicates that a single subsequent downlink data packet is expected, or information that indicates that multiple subsequent data packets are expected in downlink and/or uplink. The method further comprises receiving a second RRC message from the radio access node.
