    摘要: An apparatus is described to separate oil from a gas in an internal combustion engine. The apparatus includes a rotatable member adapted to be rotatably driven by the internal combustion engine and a housing affixed to the rotatable member. At least one inlet hole is disposed through one of either the rotatable member or the housing, permitting oil-containing gas to pass therethrough. At least one outlet hole is disposed through one of either the housing or the rotatable member, permitting the gas to exit therefrom. At least one labrynthine passage extends between the at least one inlet and the at least one outlet so that, as the rotatable member and housing rotate, the oil-containing gas within the labrynthine passage is subjected to centrifugal forces. The forces cause at least some of the oil to be removed from the gas as the gas flows from the at least one inlet hole to the at least one outlet hole. A decompressor is also described.

    摘要: An oil separating chamber for separating oil contained in blow-by gas is arranged outside a transmission member passage connecting a crank shaft with a cam shaft of a valve system and at an abutting surface between a cylinder block and a cylinder head. Partition walls perpendicular to the abutting surface for dividing the oil separating chamber into a plurality of small subchambers are alternatively arranged at the cylinder block and the cylinder head to form a labyrinth structure. The small subchamber at one end of the plurality of small subchambers is provided with a blow-by gas intake passage communicated with the transmission member passage. The small subchamber at the other end is provided with a blow-by gas exhaust passage for returning blow-by gas to an air cleaner. Each of the small subchambers not provided with the blow-by gas intake passage is provided with an oil return passage communicating with the transmission member passage. This arrangement and construction of an oil separator structure for separating oil contained in blow-by gas of an internal combustion engine reduces the number of component parts and the number of assembling steps.

The media outlet is covered by an air-permeable ventilating device or is fluidically connected thereto. The oil separator device has an oil separator housing in which the media inlet is provided. A gaseous medium can enter the oil separator housing through the media inlet in a planned manner and can escape through the oil separator device and through the ventilating device into the environment surrounding the machine housing ventilator. The oil separator housing has a labyrinth ventilator device for deflecting medium flowing through the machine housing ventilator, and an intended rectilinear flow direction through the oil separator housing, a so-called ventilation direction, is defined. The ventilation direction runs in the direction from the media inlet to the media outlet. The labyrinth ventilator device is at least partially surrounded, in a circumferential direction relative to the ventilation direction, by the oil separator housing and is formed as a separate component from the housing.

A blow-by gas passage of the oil separator (2) includes an upstream passage (18) and a downstream passage (20) extending at an angle to the upstream passage. A separation wall (36) provided in the downstream passage includes a first surface (40, 78) forming an obtuse angle relative to the upstream passage, and a second surface (42) adjoining the first surface on a downstream side thereof and defining a planar surface extending substantially perpendicularly to the upstream passage. The blow-by gas is accelerated in the upstream passage, and the flow direction of the blow-by gas is changed by the first surface without substantially changing the flow speed and without disturbing the flow before the blow-by gas flows along the second surface. At this time, the oil particles in the blow-by gas collide with and are trapped by the second surface owing to the inertia of the oil particles.

    摘要: The oil mist separator includes a cylinder head cover made of a resin and having a form in which the bottom face is opened; and a baffle plate made of a resin and arranged so as to block the bottom face of the cylinder head cover. The circumferential wall is welded, at its upper end part, with the cylinder head cover. Also, a nozzle hole through which the blow-by gas flows is formed in the circumferential wall. A separating member which separates the oil component from the blow-by gas having passed through the nozzle hole is provided on the downstream side of the nozzle hole.
