    Abstract: The oil mist separator separates oil from blow-by gas which flows through a gas flow passage. A chamber, which is partitioned from the gas flow passage including a gas introduction port, is provided between a cylinder head cover and a baffle plate. A first guide wall, which extends with a downward inclination toward the chamber so as to cover the gas introduction port and the chamber, is provided above the gas introduction port and the chamber. A drain hole for discharging the oil within the chamber is formed in the baffle plate.

    Abstract: A cover for an internal combustion engine is configured to be attached to an engine main body so as to cover a timing chain or a timing belt. The cover for the internal combustion engine includes insertion holes configured to receive a crankshaft or a camshaft. The cover for the internal combustion engine includes a first member made of a hard plastic and a second member made of a material different from the hard plastic. The first member is produced by insert molding with the second member embedded in the first member. A periphery of at least one of the insertion holes in the second member includes a joint surface that is joined to the first member. The joint surface includes annular grooves surrounding the insertion hole, the annular grooves being arranged in a radial direction of the insertion hole.

    Abstract: An oil mist separator includes a case including an inflow port into which blow-by gas flows and an outflow port out of which blow-by gas flows, a separation unit arranged in the case, and an oil discharge unit arranged at a lower part of the case. The oil mist separator is configured to separate oil mist contained in blow-by gas by the separation unit and discharge oil separated by the separation unit to an outside of the case through the oil discharge unit. The oil discharge unit includes a discharge port through which oil is discharged to the outside of the case and a constriction arranged above the discharge port. The constriction is partially decreased in a small cross-sectional flow area.

    Abstract: An oil mist separator includes a housing and an oil separating part which separates oil mist in blow-by gas. The oil separating part is composed of a first oil separating part and a second oil separating part. The housing is provided inside with a partition wall which defines chambers formed for the respective oil separating parts, and second nozzles which jet out blow-by gas are provided in a second partition wall which defines a second chamber in which the downstream-side second oil separating part is provided. The second nozzles can serve, for example, as passages for discharging the oil separated by the second oil separating part toward a drain pipe which is provided in a first chamber.

    Abstract: An oil separator includes a case, electrode plates, filters, and a power supply unit. The electrode plates are arranged in the case with a space in between such that any two adjacent electrode plates face each other. The filters are made of an electrically insulating material and each arranged between any two adjacent electrode plates. The power supply unit is connected to the electrode plates and applies voltage between any two adjacent electrode plates, thereby creating a potential difference between the adjacent electrode plates. The filling factor of each filter is in a range from 0.005 to 0.03. The voltage applied between any two adjacent electrode plates by the power supply unit is in a range from 0.5 to 5 kV. The distance between any two adjacent electrode plates is in a range from 3 to 20 mm.

    Abstract: A positive crankcase ventilation system includes a positive crankcase ventilation valve, a coupling part, and a plate member. The coupling part is configured to couple the positive crankcase ventilation valve and an internal combustion engine.
