Method for processing of carbon-and/or hydrocarbon-containing products includes layer-by-layer of raw materials in reactor in presence of catalyst. Raw materials pass through derivative product heating area (9), pyrolysis area (8), carbonization area (7), combustion area, (6) with conversion of solid, residual that is discharged from area for discharging of solid residuals (2) with discharging gate (3) from process area of reactor cyclically from top downward in reactor with maintaining of its leaktightness. Leak-proof process chamber (1) of reactor contains area for feeding of wet small particles of solid fuel waste, their pyrolysis and carbonization (14), connected to areas for feeding (4) and heating (5) of oxygen-containing agent. Channel for feeding of oxygen-containing agent (15) is connected to metering hopper of wet small particles of solid fuel wastes (16), which are used for formation of fluidized flow. Additional volume of oxygen-containing agent is injected into reactor as a part of main flow that is necessary for further combustion of small particles of solid fuel waste that passed through pyrolysis area (8) and carbonization area (7) and conversion of their moisture into superheating steam. A combustion boiler and a generator engine, driven with synthesis gas, are associated with a single gasifier, and the gasifying apparatus produces synthesis gas proper to a technical field of the gasifier by selectively applying an upflow gasifier and a downflow gasifier according to the technical field of the gasifier.

A coal feed system to feed pulverized low rank coals containing up to 25 wt % moisture to gasifiers operating up to 1000 psig pressure is described. The system includes gas distributor and collector gas permeable pipes imbedded in the lock vessel. Different methods of operation of the feed system are disclosed to minimize feed problems associated with bridging and packing of the pulverized coal. The method of maintaining the feed system and feeder device exit pressures using gas addition or extraction with the pressure control device is also described.

A waste processing system and method is described. The waste processing system may be used to treat any type of waste material that may be decomposed upon the application of energy, wherein recyclable metal and/or a gaseous end product is/are generated which may have commercial or industrial applications. The waste material may be reduced in size and passed to a purge vessel where the oxygen content of the waste material is reduced. The waste material is then heated in a heat exchanger which may be linearly elongated and passed to a conversion chamber where it is treated with H—H—O gas torches. A final gaseous end product is generated which may be used as a fuel source.

The invention is directed to a process to provide a particulate solid carbonaceous material to a pressurized gasification reactor comprising following steps, (a) transporting the solid material from a first lower pressure zone to a higher pressure zone using a bulk materials pump comprising a housing having a flow path for the solid material between an inlet fluidly connected to the first lower pressure zone and an outlet fluidly connected to the higher pressure zone, wherein said flow path in said housing is further defined by a space between two rotatable drive disks spaced from each other and wherein a materials scraper is present between said drive disks at the outlet to route a cake of solid material that is being transported between said drive disks to a transport conduit, which transport conduit fluidly connects the outlet of said housing and a burner as present in the gasification reactor, and (b) injecting a gaseous stream into the cake of solid material where the cake of solid material is discharged from the housing and enters the transport conduit, and (c) transporting the solid material and the gaseous stream in a transport conduit to the burner.

A sensor (10) maintains the height of the bed and a rotating paddle (5) maintains the top of the bed (4) at an even height.
