    摘要: A method for producing a coal cake that is suitable for coking and for subsequent charging of a coking oven chamber. At least one vibrating station including a push-table vibrating machine with an oscillatorily mounted vibrating table is provided. A mold box is clamped to the vibrating table. The mold box is filled with granular raw coal material. A weight is placed on top of the mold box. The mold box is vertically oscillated while the weight presses from above into the mold box so as to mold a vibration-compacted coal block. The vibration-compacted coal block is pushed off the vibrating table, using an ejector, onto an underlying support. The vibration-compacted coal block is pushed on the underlying support by a length (x) of the vibration-compacted coal block successive to another vibration-compacted coal block. The vibration-compacted coal blocks are successively stacked so as to form the coal cake. The coal cake is introduced into the coking oven chamber using a transporting device.

    摘要: In a method of processing paint sludge, measured portions of the sludge are supplied into a heating chamber for pyrolysis at about 1500° F. to disintegrate into organic and inorganic portions, the organic portion in the form of syngas is then drawn out, cooled, and pressurized to be used in kilns or combustion chambers, whereas the inorganic portion in the form of ash is directed to a calciner, where it is heated at about 1500° F. in a controlled presence of oxygen and cooled to have it ready for the reuse in paint manufacturing.

    摘要: The invention relates to an apparatus on a coal-charging larry cart for lifting lids out of charging holes in the roof of a coke oven and for cleaning the charging-hole jambs. The basic construction of this apparatus includes a lid lifter (3) having a support arm (4) carrying a lift magnet (5), a jamb cleaner (6) having a support arm (4′) carrying a cleaning head (7), drives (8, 8′) for vertically positioning the support arms (4, 4′). The lid lifter (3) and the jamb cleaner (6) are each mounted on a respective carriage (12, 12′) for horizontal movement between an operating position (A) in which the lift magnet (5) or the cleaning head (7) is aligned with a charging hole (13) in the roof of the coke oven, and a rest position (B) spaced from the charging hole. According to the invention the carriage (12, 12′) has a travel frame (15) horizontally movable on rails (14) on the underside of the coal-charging larry cart along a first axis and a support frame (16) inside the travel frame (15), the support frame (16) being guided for movement relative to the travel frame along a second axis transverse to the travel direction of the travel frame (15), the drive (8, 8′) for the cover lifter (13) and/or the jamb cleaner (6) being mounted on the support frame (16).

    摘要: A combination liquid seal and spiral auger conveyor feeding system which provides both a liquid seal, effective under normal operating conditions, with a sealed spiral auger conveyor, which is effective to seal against the surge flow of distillation gases back through the feeding system. This is attained while providing for a reliable, continuous flow of solid bulk material such as rubber tire chips to a reactor or distillation unit. A bulk feeding system having a partially submerged inclined spiral auger conveyor is provided, communicating at its base with a liquid reservoir so as to form a liquid seal within the combined apparatus. Solid bulk material is introduced to the upper end of the liquid reservoir above the liquid level where it descends by the action of gravity into the liquid and sinks to the bottom of the reservoir to by picked up by the partially submerged rotating auger conveyor and elevated thereby. The bulk material is raised above the liquid level and introduced to the reactor or distillation unit inlet. The requirement of a small clearance between the flights of the auger and its cylindrical wall, along with the presence of the bulk material being conveyed within the auger, acts as a seal against distillation gas surges, thus avoiding fires and explosions in the bulk material storage and conveying apparatus.

    摘要: A method for preventing the overcharging of coal into a coke oven system in which preheated coal is transported from a storage container to the coke ovens by means of a substantially enclosed continuous conveyor system filled with inert gas. A portion of inert gas within the enclosed conveyor system is carried along with the coal into the coke oven itself. During filling of the oven, this inert gas is carried up and out of the oven standpipes. When the oven becomes filled, however, the standpipe escape route becomes blocked resulting in a rapid pressure build-up within the system. This rapid pressure build-up is utilized to generate a signal to stop further filling of the oven. The instant method may be employed as a primary regulating system, but is more preferably employed as a back-up to conventional sensor probes used for regulating the level of coal.

    摘要: Dry coal powder is fed to a high-pressure coal gasification reactor from a high-pressure chamber in inert gas. The powder is introduced in the chamber via a centrifugal pump having an inlet tube passing through a wall of the chamber and a rotor inside the chamber, which rotor throws the powder into the chamber through radial nozzles by centrifugal force. Gas leakage from the chamber through the centrifugal pump is created to prevent blockage.
