    摘要: An updraft gasifier including a reactor chamber, the chamber adapted to receive an amount of biomass fuel, one or more reaction gas input means, the base portion located below and fluidly connected to the receiving portion of the reactor chamber, a hollow feed tube extending into the receiving portion of the chamber to terminate at a feed tube terminus within the receiving portion of the chamber, one or more product gas output means located at or near the top of the receiving portion of the reactor chamber; and wherein the gasifier further includes a biomass distribution member within the receiving chamber, the biomass distribution member positioned to enable a portion of the distribution member to be moveable beneath the feed tube terminus.

    摘要: An automated system is described for processing biomass using a series of mechanisms that operate in unison to maintain solids flow through small gasifiers that are otherwise prone to blockage. The system can include: a fixed bed gasifier having upright cylindrical walls defining a biomass gasification chamber therein, the gasifier configured to produce synthesis gas and a carbonaceous product and ash; a device for metering biomass to the gasifier; a device for selectively filtering gasification products; a device for impacting the cylindrical walls with a force; a device for radially mixing carbon in the reduction zone without vertical displacement of gasifier products; one or more material presence sensors which detect the amount and status of biomass within the gasification chamber; and a processor system which takes input from material presence sensor and activates one or more of said devices.

The gasifier may also include an ash grate disposed in the gasification chamber. The gasifier may further include a rotary crusher disposed in the gasification chamber above the ash grate. The rotary crusher may include at least one crushing element. The rotary crusher may be configured to break apart, between the at least one crushing element and an opposing surface, the feedstock material responsive to rotation of the rotary crusher.

    摘要: The invention relates to a shaft gasifier for producing fuel gas from solid carbonaceous material. The shaft gasifier comprising a shaft wall surrounding a shaft gasifier interior, a pyrolysis zone disposed in the shaft gasifier interior, the pyrolysis zone comprising a solid material feed opening for feeding solid carbonaceous material into the shaft gasifier and a solid material discharge opening for discharging partially gasified solid carbonaceous material and a gas discharge opening for pyrolysis gas, an oxidation zone which is disposed in the shaft gasifier interior and which is in thermal contact with the pyrolysis zone, the oxidation zone comprising a gas feed opening connected to the gas discharge opening of the pyrolysis zone for discharging pyrolysis gas out of the pyrolysis zone, and a gas discharge opening. The oxidation zone is disposed between the pyrolysis zone and the shaft wall.
