Abstract:
In an acoustic echo canceler of a loudspeaking telephone apparatus, a sequence of successively delayed tap signals of a remote speech signal from a transmission line are respectively weighted by filter coefficients and summed together to produce an acoustic echo replica of the speech signal. The filter coefficients are updated with a residual echo and restricted to those which correspond to an echo component of the speech signal, or peak impulse response of the acoustic feedback path between the loudspeaker and the microphone. The tap signals are also restricted to those corresponding to the restricted filter coefficients. The output of the microphone is combined in a subtractor with the acoustic echo replica, producing the residual echo. After small amplitude components of the residual echo are suppressed in a first attenuator, the output of this attenuator is supplied through a second attenuator to the line. The magnitude of the restricted tap signals of the adaptive filter is compared with the output of the first attenuator. If the former is greater than the latter, the attenuation of the second attenuator is increased. Otherwise, the attenuation of the second attenuator is decreased.
Abstract:
Waste material containing combustible waste substances and incombustible waste substances along with carbonic massive combustibles are feed for passage in a furnace in the form of packed layers. Lower stage tuyeres feed burning support gas in the burning and melting zone of the furnace. Upper stage tuyeres feed burning support gas in the heat decomposing zone of the furnace. Total oxygen fed by the upper and lower tuyeres is 130 to 600 Nm3 per one ton of waste. The ratio of the quantity of oxygen fed from the upper stage tuyeres to the total quantity of oxygen fed from both the upper and lower stage tuyeres is 0.2 to 0.8. Oxygen fed from the lower stage tuyeres is at least 0.8 times the theoretical oxygen required for burning the carbonic massive combustibles.
Abstract:
A solid-state imaging device having a scanning circuit and a photoconductive film formed in layers on a semiconductor substrate, and a process for forming the same, wherein high resolution with substantially no color mixing is attained. An electrode layer is formed over the semiconductor substrate for providing the plural electrodes, and a photoconductive film is formed over the electrode layer. A first transparent electrode is produced over the photoconductive film, after which a resist pattern is formed on the first transparent electrode layer corresponding to the pixels. The first transparent layer and the photoconductive film are etched according to the resist pattern to spatially isolate adjacent pixels in the first transparent layer and the photoconductive film. Adjacent pixels are isolated by etching, using the resist pattern, that part of the electrode layer on which are disposed the first transparent electrode layer and the photoconductive film between isolated pixels.

Abstract:
In a process for producing a stabilized oxymethylene copolymer by heat-melting, at a temperature ranging between the melting point of the copolymer and a temperature 100.degree. C. higher than the melting point in a degassing apparatus in the presence of a heat stabilizer, a crude oxymethylene copolymer of trioxane with a cyclic acetal or cyclic ether, to decompose and eliminate the instable portions of the copolymer, the improvement which comprises using as the degassing apparatus in heat stabilizing the crude oxymethylene copolymer a combination of (A) an extruder and (B) a surface renewing-type mixer, and carrying out the operation by first feeding a crude oxymethylene copolymer to said extruder (A) to heat-melt and decompose 30-90% by weight of the instable portions of the crude copolymer, removing the decomposed gas via a vent provided in said extruder, and thereafter introducing the molten resin continuously to said surface renewing-type mixer (B) where substantially all of the remaining instable portions of the oxymethylene copolymer are heat-decomposed until the content of the instable portions falls below about 2 wt. %, thereby heat stabilizing the copolymer; said extruder (A) having a single or a plurality of shafts, said surface renewing-type mixer functioning to mix and knead the resin thereby constantly renewing the surface of the resin to volatize the volatiles contained therein.
Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a semiconductor device obtained by laminating a first semiconductor chip and a second semiconductor chip with different planar sizes when seen in a plan view on a wiring board via an adhesive material, in which the second semiconductor chip with a relatively larger planar size is mounted on the first semiconductor chip with a relatively smaller planar size. Also, after the first and second semiconductor chips are mounted, the first and second semiconductor chips are sealed with resin. Here, before sealing with the resin, a gap between the second semiconductor chip and the wiring board is previously sealed with the adhesive material used when the first and second semiconductor chips are mounted.
Abstract:
A multimodal service establishing method is provided which is capable of achieving flexible combinations of a plurality of service contents. At least one integrated server is installed between a plurality of terminal devices and service servers of a plurality of types. A session establishment processing unit and service linking processing unit are mounted in the integrated server. The session establishment processing unit establishes multimodal service session between terminals and service servers. After the establishment of multimodal service session, the service linking processing unit provides new service obtained by linking and integrating service to be provided by service servers, that is, multimodal service to terminal devices.
