The ECM comprises positively and negatively charged nanoparticles, wherein one of said nanoparticles contains a magnetically responsive element. When the magnetic ECM is seeded with cells, the cells will be magnetized and can be levitated for 3-D cell culture.

摘要: A circular mRNA molecule possessing features resembling native mammalian mRNA demonstrates improved translation, while retaining the properties of an extremely long half-life inside cells. This circular mRNA is functional inside mammalian cells, being able to compete against native cellular mRNAs for the eukaryotic translation initiation machinery. The invention possesses additional RNA elements compared to a previous invention containing only an IRES element for successful in vitro or in vivo translation.

摘要: Described are devices, methods, and kits for controlled incremental filtration (CIF), as well as methods of designing CIF devices. For example, a method for CIF may modulate a concentration of particles of a desired size in a fluid. The fluid including the particles may be flowed along a flow path through a central channel to contact a plurality of gaps that fluidically couple the central channel to at least one adjacent side channel network. Flow resistance may be decreased along at least a portion of the flow path effective to modulate the concentration of particles. The method may include selecting the plurality of gaps to be larger than the particles. The method may include causing a consistent flow fraction fgap in the central channel to traverse each gap in the plurality of gaps and flow through the at least one side channel network along the flow path.

摘要: A material comprising positively and negatively charged nanoparticles, wherein one of said nanoparticles contained a magnetically responsive element, are combined with a support molecule, which is a long natural or synthetic molecule or polymer to make a magnetic nanoparticle assembly. When the magnetic nanoparticle assembly is combined with cells, it will magnetize those cells. The magnetized cells can then be washed to remove the magnetic nanoparticle assembly and the magnetized cells manipulated in a magnetic field.
