    Abstract: A current detection device for measuring current flowing through a conductor having a magnetic core having a channel for receiving the conductor therethrough, and a magnetic field transducer positioned at least partially within an air gap of the magnetic core. The magnetic field transducer is configured to respond to the presence of a magnetic field by generating an output electrical signal based on a flux density of the magnetic field. The magnetic core comprises an absolute saturation flux density that is substantially lower than an absolute saturation flux density of the magnetic field transducer. Accordingly, a response of the current detection device within the magnetic flux density operating range varies in sensitivity and is substantially non-linear. The response of the current detection device is preconfigured. The current detection device may be implemented in devices and systems where a substantially wide sensing range and relatively high, low-current sensitivity is desired.

    Abstract: An electronic system includes a bipolar junction transistor (BJT) input stage circuit having a first BJT input, a second BJT input, a first BJT output, a second BJT output, and a BJT voltage input. An amplifier has a first amplifier input, a second amplifier input, and an amplifier output. The first amplifier input is coupled to the first BJT output and the second amplifier input is coupled to the second BJT output. The second BJT input is coupled to the amplifier output. A base current compensator has a first base compensator output, a second base compensator output, and a base compensator voltage output. The first base compensator output is coupled to the first BJT input and the second base compensator output is coupled to the second BJT input. The base compensator voltage output is coupled to the BJT voltage input.

    Abstract: A dual-channel current sensor includes a housing, a core, and a printed circuit board assembly (PCBA). The housing has a cylindrical cavity and an end portion, where the cylindrical cavity is open at a first end. The core is cylindrical in shape with flattened top and bottom surfaces and has a flat zone on an interior surface, a gap perpendicular and opposite the flat zone, a first portion adjacent one side of the gap, and a second portion adjacent the other, opposite side of the gap. The core is inserted into first end of the cylindrical cavity. The PCBA, which is inserted into the end portion of the housing, has a sensor disposed in the gap.

    Abstract: A current sensor includes a plurality of individual sensors and a wiring case. Each of the individual sensors includes an electrical-conduction member through which a measurement current to be measured flows, a magnetoelectric converter and an insulating sensor housing. The magnetoelectric converter converts a measurement magnetic field caused by a flow of the measurement current into an electric signal. The sensor housing accommodates the electrical-conduction member and the magnetoelectric converter therein. The wiring case is larger than the sensor housing. The wiring case includes an insulating integrated housing in which the plurality of individual sensors is fixed, and an input/output wiring disposed in the integrated housing and electrically connected to the megnetoelectric converter of each of the plurality of individual sensors.
