摘要: Single Pair Ethernet (SPE) devices and conventional Ethernet devices configured for 2-pairs or 4-pairs of wires are not compatible with each other. A media converter is provided to interface between SPE devices and conventional Ethernet devices. The media converter is configured to also interface between a SPE device that transmits power over the SPE cable, also called Power over Data Lines (PoDL), and an Ethernet endpoint device that receives power over a Power over Ethernet (POE) cable. The media converter includes a SPE connector, a first transformer, a first PHY device, a second PHY device, a second transformer, a multi-pair Ethernet connector (e.g., RJ45 connector), a clock, and a power supply.

摘要: A power over Ethernet (PoE) power supplying method where power sourcing equipment (PSE) and a powered device exchange link layer discovery protocol data units (LLDPDUs). Each of the LLDPDUs includes two power values. Each of the power values indicates requested or allocated power for one of two sets of cable pairs of the Ethernet twisted pair connecting the PSE and the powered device. Accordingly, the supplied powers to the powered device at sets of cable pairs are independent from each other.

摘要: A system and method are described herein for configuring an audio distribution system, comprising a Redis server, the Redis server adapted to store Redis data to be used in configuring the audio distribution system; a plurality of audio devices, the plurality of audio devices and Redis server interconnected to form the audio distribution system, wherein each of the plurality of audio devices comprises-at least one processor; an electronic communications interface operatively connected to the at least one processor and adapted to receive data from a user and transfer the data to the at least one processor; and a memory operatively connected with the at least one processor, wherein the memory stores computer-executable instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, causes the at least one processor in a first audio device to execute a method for configuring the audio distribution system that comprises: establishing communications using the electronic communications interface between the user and the at least one processor of the first audio device, such that data input by the user is received by the at least one processor of the first audio device; establishing communications to each of the remaining plurality of audio devices and Redis server in the audio distribution system; obtaining information from each of the remaining plurality of audio devices with which communications have been established, such information including one or more of an audio device name, part number, serial number, internet protocol address number, and physical location; receiving configuration information from the user that pertains to a specific audio device of the plurality of audio devices in the audio distribution system that, when installed on a specific audio device, causes the specific audio device to operate in a known manner; and copying that configuration information to others of the same specific type of audio device in the audio distribution system.

摘要: A programmable RJ45 jack is disclosed. In some examples, the RJ45 jack may be configured to emit a user-defined color at the presence of a user-selectable data-link characteristic. In some examples, any number of programmable RJ45 jacks may be included within a device, such as an ethernet switch. A configuration database describing a relationship between data-link characteristics and colors may be downloaded to a device that includes the programmable RJ45 jack.

摘要: A server for regulating power from a Power-over-Ethernet switch to a plurality of vision sensors includes the following operations. An evaluation of individual contributions that each of the plurality of vision sensors makes to operational efficiency of the vision system is performed. Information indicative of a degradation condition to the plurality of vision sensors is received from the plurality of vision sensors. An amount of power needed to be supplied from the switch to alleviate the degradation condition of the plurality of vision sensors is estimated based upon the information indicative of the degradation condition. A determination is made that a total amount of power supplied from the switch exceeds an available amount of power capable of being supplied from the switch. Power from the switch to the plurality of vision sensors is individually regulated in real-time using a prioritization determined according to the evaluation.

When communication data is transferred between a central office (CO) and a subscriber terminal using a network element to convert optical to electrical (O-E) and electrical to optical (E-O) signals between a fiber from the central office and twisted wire pair, coaxial cable or Ethernet cable transmission lines from the subscriber terminal, techniques related to local powering of a network element or drop site by the subscriber terminal or subscriber premise remote powering device are provided. Certain advantages and/or benefits are achieved using the present invention, such as freedom from any requirement for additional meter installations or meter connection charges and does not require a separate power network.

摘要: The present invention proposes a DC power distribution system comprising power source equipment (PSE) providing high powered power over ethernet connections of 200 W per ethernet cable connected with powered devices (PDs) and power distribution units (PDUs). The PD and PDUs connected to the PSE have second ethernet port for extending the high power PoE connection to at least a second PDU or PD. The system also provides a common mode longitudinal system for communicating across the network of PSE, PD and PDU devices and sensor data and command data sent to and from connected PD. The PD and PDU devices incorporate a supervisor circuit for monitoring the s high power PoE connection and for directing the communications with other connected devices. The PDU devices incorporate DC-to-AC inverters for providing AC power, locally from the high power PoE DC connections, where AC power is required.
