摘要: There is provided a system for generating a spectrogram signal representative of a spectrogram of an initial signal, the system comprising: a temporal phase modulator for receiving the initial signal and quadratically modulating a temporal phase of the initial signal in a periodic series of consecutive quadratic time lenses in order to obtain a temporal phase modulated signal; a spectral phase modulator for quadratically modulating a spectral phase of the temporal phase modulated signal to obtain a given signal representative of a series of consecutive spectra; and a sensor for detecting the given signal in a temporal domain in order to obtained a sensed signal and outputting the sensed signal, the sensed signal being representative of the spectrogram of the initial signal.

摘要: An optical amplification estimation method includes by an excitation light output unit connected to a first end of a first optical transmission line, making excitation light incident on the first optical transmission line, by a monitoring unit connected to the same side as the first end of the first optical transmission line, making monitoring light incident on the first optical transmission line, the monitoring light having a wavelength different from a wavelength of the excitation light, by the monitoring unit, measuring intensity of light incident on the monitoring unit when the excitation light is incident, and intensity of light incident on the monitoring unit when the excitation light is not incident, and by an amplification estimation unit, estimating a gain of an optical signal in the first optical transmission line based on the light intensity measured in the measuring. The first optical transmission line shares a partial optical transmission line with a second optical transmission line used for an optical network unit and an optical line terminal to transmit and receive an optical signal to and from each other.

摘要: A method for calculating configuration of an optical transmission network includes: acquiring an initial value of an input power of an optical cable; based on the initial value, obtaining an output power of each channel at an end of a section of the optical cable according to a loss of the optical cable; taking the output power of each channel at the end of the section as a boundary condition to calculate the input power of each channel at the section based on an amount of optical power transferred from a high-frequency channel to a low-frequency channel due to an SRS effect; and calculating a first parameter value of an optical amplifier of the section using the input power of each channel at the section and the output power of each channel at the end of a preceding section of the section.

摘要: Methods for estimating the Effective Modal Bandwidth (EMB) of laser optimized Multimode Fiber (MMF) at a specified wavelength, λS, based on the measured EMB at a first reference measurement wavelength, λM. In these methods the Differential Mode Delay (DMD) of a MMF is measured and the Effective Modal Bandwidth (EMB) is computed at a first measurement wavelength. By extracting signal features such as centroids, peak power, pulse widths, and skews, as described in this disclosure, the EMB can be estimated at a second specified wavelength with different degrees of accuracy. The first method estimates the EMB at the second specified wavelength based on measurements at the reference wavelength. The second method predicts if the EMB at the second specified wavelength is equal or greater than a specified bandwidth limit.

摘要: When a frequency deviation compensation amount is compensated for by use of frequency shift, a phase offset occurs between adjacent input blocks included in a plurality of input blocks as divided, with the result that an error occurs in a reconstructed bit sequence. A frequency deviation compensation system of the invention is characterized by comprising: a frequency deviation compensation means for compensating for a frequency deviation occurring in a signal by use of frequency shift; and a phase offset compensation means for compensating for a phase offset occurring, in the signal, due to the frequency shift.
