    Abstract: A motor drive system for operating a mechanism for raising and lowering window coverings includes a motor operating under electrical power and an electrically powered drive system. The motor drive system advances a continuous cord loop in response to positional commands from a controller. An input-output device includes a capacitive touch strip that receives user inputs along an input axis, and an LEDs strip aligned with the input axis. A group mode module communicates the positional commands to other motor drive systems within an identified group to operate respective other mechanisms of the other motor drive systems. A set control module enables user calibration of a top position and a bottom position of travel of the window covering. The input-output device extends vertically on the exterior of a housing for the motor drive system, and the housing supports input buttons of the group mode module and the set control module.

    Abstract: A brake actuator comprises a housing having an end wall and a pushrod projecting through an opening in the end wall and terminating at a movable plate in the housing. A spring is enclosed in the housing and surrounds the pushrod. At least one unitary resilient member is disposed on the push rod proximate to the end wall and partially extends through the opening for centering the spring around an axis of the pushrod and restricting contamination into the housing. The unitary resilient member comprises a central aperture and an annular flange surrounding the central aperture. At least one section of a collar radially outward from the annular flange has a thickness less than half of the annular flange thickness for constraining movement of the spring and the push rod in a radial direction.

    Abstract: An electromagnetic brake includes a hub disposed about a shaft and configured for rotation with the shaft about a rotational axis. An electromagnet assembly is fixed against rotation about the axis and includes a housing defining axially extending, radially spaced inner and outer poles and a brake plate extending radially therebetween. A conductor is disposed between the poles on one side of the brake plate. An armature is disposed on the other side of the brake plate and coupled to a body driven by the shaft. The electromagnet assembly, armature and hub form an electromagnetic circuit when the conductor is energized urging the armature towards the brake plate. A portion of the magnetic flux in the circuit travels radially inwardly across a first radial air gap from the inner pole to the hub and then radially outwardly across a second radial air gap from the hub to the brake plate.

    Abstract: Disclosed is an electronic disc brake. The electronic disc brake includes a disc configured to rotate with vehicle wheels, a caliper housing configured to operate pad plates installed at both sides of the disc, and an actuator having a piston provided inside the caliper housing to press the pad plates to adhere the pad plates to the disc, a spindle rotatably installed at the caliper housing to reciprocate the piston, an electric motor configured to rotate the spindle, and a decelerator configured to transmit a rotational force of the electric motor to the spindle. The decelerator includes a power connection unit connected to the electric motor, planetary gear units configured to connect the power connection unit to the spindle, and a center pin configured to pass through the power connection unit and the planetary gear units. The power connection unit includes a driving gear provided at a shaft of the electric motor and a driven gear connected to the planetary gear units. The planetary gear units each include a sun gear, a plurality of planetary gears engaged to an outer portion of the sun gear, a ring gear which is an internal gear configured to accommodate the planetary gears, a carrier installed to rotatably support the planetary gears and coaxially rotate with the sun gear and configured to and to output a rotational power, and an output shaft provided on the carrier and coupled to the spindle. The center pin has one end press-fitted and fixed to the output shaft.

    Abstract: A hydraulic vehicle brake has a piston which acts upon a friction element and is displaceable by a rotationally drivable spindle/nut arrangement into an actuating position. A spindle of the spindle/nut arrangement is secured against rotation and movable by the spindle nut either into abutment against the piston or away from the piston. The spindle nut comprises a first part, which at least close to one end thereof is configured for screw-type engagement with the spindle, and a second part, configured for rotationally driving the first part and connected to the first part by a rotationally fixed connection. The first part at an other end thereof is provided with a support surface for the rotatable, axial mounting of the spindle/nut arrangement and the second part at the other end extends into the first part.

    Abstract: A parking mechanism in a vehicle is controlled to rotate, which engages and disengages a pawl with a spoke or gear of a wheel to selectively hold the wheel against rotation in park. A spring is connected to the parking mechanism at a first end, and is connected to the transmission housing or a stop block at a second end. The first end of the spring is a closed loop, such as a helix shape that extends over 360 degrees over a loop axis. The second end of the spring is open-ended, such as a hook. After attaching the first end of the spring to the park mechanism, but prior to attaching the second end, a valve assembly can be mounted as well as the stop block. After those components are assembled in place, the second end of the spring can simply hook into place.
