摘要: A holonomic floating mobile object is operated under gravity and includes a main body and six or more thrusters for generating thrust by changing the momentum of a fluid. The six or more thrusters are controlled independently of one another such that the thrust is set at a desired value. The six or more thrusters are arranged in a fuselage coordinate system defined on the main body, such that the range in which a total thrust vector obtained by combining vectors of the thrust generated by all of the thrusters can be generated spans a six-dimensional space with three directions of translation and three directions of rotation. Incoming and outgoing flows to and from one of the thrusters are spaced apart from incoming and outgoing flows to and from the other thrusters and even apart from every other fuselage structure aside from that one thruster.

摘要: A method of producing a pulsatile jet flow from a substantially constant flow primary jet in a way that is mechanically efficient, easy to implement, and allows direct control over pulse duration and pulsing frequency is disclosed herein. The invention includes at least two components: (a) a constant flow fluid jet produced by any normal method (e.g., propeller) that can be directionally vectored fluidically, mechanically, or electromagnetically and (b) a nozzle with multiple outlets (orifices) through which the vectored jet may be directed. By alternately vectoring the jet through different outlets, a transient (pulsatile) flow at an outlet is obtained even with a substantially constant primary jet flow. Additionally, the nozzle outlets may be oriented in different directions to provide thrust vectoring, making the invention useful for maneuvering, directional control, etc.

摘要: A method for controlling a marine vessel having a first steering nozzle, a reversing deflector and at least one of a bow thruster and a second steering nozzle is disclosed. The method comprises any of the acts of inducing a net transverse thrust to the marine vessel in response to a transverse thrust component signal, without substantially inducing any forward-reverse thrust or rotational thrust to the marine vessel, or inducing a net forward-reverse thrust to the marine vessel in response to a forward-reverse thrust component signal without substantially inducing any transverse thrust or rotational thrust to the marine vessel, or inducing a net rotational thrust to the marine vessel in response to the rotational thrust component signal without substantially inducing any forward-reverse thrust or transverse thrust to the marine vessel.

摘要: A method for controlling a watercraft with a steering wheel, a steering device and twin motors, the method includes: maneuvering the watercraft at a first speed using side thrusters, controllable pitch propellers, or side thrusters with a deflection device as the steering device, wherein, when the watercraft travels in reverse and the watercraft makes a turn at the first speed, the steering wheel and the watercraft turn in a same direction, and maneuvering the watercraft at a second speed higher than the first speed using the controllable pitch propellers as the steering device, wherein, when the watercraft makes a turn at the second speed, a constant speed is maintained for both of the twin motors.

摘要: A dynamic or aerodynamic fin comprising at least two parallel arranged fin sections. At least one fin section comprises a rotational axis for installing the fin section by a rotation shaft. An end stop is provided for stopping the rotational movement of the fin section to define an extreme position. In the extreme position the fin sections provide a substantially cambered shape to the fin. The dynamic fin is improved in that it comprises a pair of coupling elements. A first fin section is coupled to a second adjacent fin section by a pair of a first and second coupling elements. The first coupling element is complementary to the second coupling element. The first coupling element is part of, preferably integral, with the first fin section and the second coupling element is part of, preferably integral, with the second fin section.
