摘要: A communication device including a communicator and a communication controller is provided. The communicator has at least two communication ranges including a short communication range and a long communication range longer than the short communication range. The communication controller permits the communicator to perform communication with a terminal present in the short communication range regardless of a priority level of the terminal. The communication controller permits the communicator to perform communication with a terminal present in the long communication range and out of the short communication range when a priority level of the terminal is higher than a predetermined priority level.

摘要: A method and system for detecting unsafe or suspect activities such as distracted driving associates distracted driving events to the road type, vehicle speed and vehicle acceleration (positive, negative and lateral) at the time of the distracted driving event, and identifies severe distracted driving events from a large population of minor events using a statistical distribution such as a Cauchy distribution equation. The system employs a smartphone application (App) coupled with a central server that computes driver safety scores which relate time of day, road type, vehicle speed, vehicle acceleration (positive, negative and lateral) and distracted driving using the Cauchy distribution equation. The server renders summary and detail reports of driving scores and distracted driving events to concerned parties including insurance companies, fleet managers, vehicle owners and the parents/guardians of teenaged drivers.

摘要: A multi-stop route selection system may include a telematics device associated with a vehicle having one or more sensors arranged therein, a mobile device, and a server computer. The server computer may receive driving data of a driver of the vehicle and a vehicle location from the telematics device, determine one or more driving behaviors of the driver based on the driving data, receive data regarding a calendar of the driver from the mobile device, identify a plurality of appointments in the calendar, determine a route comprising multiple destinations for the driver based on the vehicle location, the one or more driving behaviors, and the plurality of appointments, transmit the route to the mobile device, receive a request to add a new destination to the route from the mobile device, generate a modified route comprising the new destination, and transmit the modified route for the driver to the mobile device.

摘要: A method of reporting events is provided. The method includes setting at least one defined threshold that warrants an event-generated report associated with sensor data from at least one sensor. An associated event-generated report is generated upon detection of sensor data from the at least one sensor reaching the at least one defined threshold. The event-generated report is stored in a buffer. A summary indicator signal is generated upon detection of a predetermined summary signal condition. The method further includes transmitting the summary indicator signal to a remote location. The summary indicator signal includes information indicating at least the number and types of event-triggered reports that are then currently stored in the buffer. Upon receiving a remote request in response to the summary indicator signal, the method further includes transmitting only those event-triggered reports stored in the buffer requested in the remote request.

The network node determines, based on the parameter, the required latency for the transmissions. The context comprises one or more of: a surrounding of the at least one of the wireless device and the controller node; an operational ability of the at least one of the wireless device and the controller node; and a sensitivity of operation of the at least one of the wireless device and the controller node. The surrounding, operational ability and/or the sensitivity is/are detectable by at least one sensor module of the set of sensor modules.

摘要: A secure remote actuation system may comprise a remote input receptor and a central signal switch. The remote input receptor may comprise a user interface for receiving user inputs from a user. The central signal switch may comprise acceptable inputs. The central signal switch may further comprise a microcontroller for obtaining and comparing the user inputs to the acceptable inputs. In the present invention, the microcontroller obtains the user inputs from the remote input receptor while the user is using the user interface.

The method includes providing a geo-fencing service based on location of a vehicle, detecting at least one of a mobile device and a wearable device through a communication terminal equipped in the vehicle, recognizing location of the at least one of the mobile device and the wearable device, and requesting that a network server activates a notification for the geo-fencing service when the mobile device is determined to be located in a geo-fencing area and the wearable device is determined to be out of the geo-fencing area.

摘要: A low power sensor system and protocol are provided. Particular embodiments of the invention include a sensor controlled switch that senses conditions. While the sensor controlled switch is sensing conditions and the switch that it controls is open, power is conserved. When a valid condition is sensed, the switch is closed which enables a sensor system to receive power. The powered sensor system can then perform tasks such as listen for radio transmissions from a human interface device and respond to these. In another embodiment of the invention a delayed shutdown is executed, wherein the sensor system is put in a low power state for a period of time before responding to further conditions sensed by the sensor controlled switch. An example application is in a battery powered vehicle camera system.

摘要: The disclosed technology comprises a system to provide warning of a rail or vehicle approaching a work area for a transit worker or group of transit workers. In some implementations, the disclosed technology includes a sensor station that detects rail or vehicles approaching the work area, which transmits a warning signal to a safety vest worn by workers. In some implementations, the safety vest has a transceiver to receive the warning signal and activates an alarm mounted to the vest. The alarm may be a flashing light or a vibration that can be felt by the vest wearer.
