摘要: A user identification system is provided. In the user identification system, an in-vehicle apparatus specifies a position of a vehicular portable device with reference to a vehicle and determines whether the vehicular portable device exists in a predetermined identification area. Based on determining that the vehicular portable device exists in the identification area, the in-vehicle apparatus transmits an instruction signal instructing the vehicular portable device to specify a driver terminal. Based on reception signal strength detected during a time period determined by a time point of receipt of the instruction signal, the vehicular portable device determines the driver terminal.

摘要: A user identification system is provided, which includes an in-vehicle apparatus used by multiple users and a vehicular portable device carried by a user acting as a driver and associated with the in-vehicle apparatus. The vehicular portable device detects received signal strength of signals received from the portable terminals at multiple time points, and based on the received signal strength detected by the received signal strength detector, determines a driver terminal which is the portable terminal carried by the user acting as the driver. The vehicular portable device determines as the driver terminal the portable terminal that provides a smallest degree of change of the received signal strength detected multiple times.

摘要: A location determination system is provided. The location determination system includes a vehicle device mounted in a vehicle, and a mobile terminal provided as a communication terminal to be carried by a user of the vehicle and set to transmit a radio signal including transmission source information at least once within a predetermined period of time. The vehicle device may receive the radio signal transmitted from the mobile terminal via an antenna disposed in the vehicle and detect a reception strength of the received radio signal. The vehicle device may determine, based on the reception strength of the radio signal detected by the reception portion, whether the mobile terminal is present inside a target area set in advance based on a position at which the antenna is disposed.

摘要: A communication device including a communicator and a communication controller is provided. The communicator has at least two communication ranges including a short communication range and a long communication range longer than the short communication range. The communication controller permits the communicator to perform communication with a terminal present in the short communication range regardless of a priority level of the terminal. The communication controller permits the communicator to perform communication with a terminal present in the long communication range and out of the short communication range when a priority level of the terminal is higher than a predetermined priority level.

摘要: A vehicle control apparatus includes: a first communicator that has a communication range outside a vehicle and communicates with a portable communication terminal by a predetermined first wireless communication system; a second communicator that has a communication range in a vehicle compartment of the vehicle and communicates with the portable communication terminal by a second wireless communication system; a first authenticator that receives identification information from the portable communication terminal; a second authenticator that receives identification information from the portable communication terminal; a determinator that determines that the portable communication terminal exists within a predetermined range outside the vehicle, and determines that the portable communication terminal exists in the vehicle compartment of the vehicle; and a controller that permits or causes an electronic control device controlling an action of the vehicle to perform a predetermined action.
