摘要: An injector is designed to provide continuously variable injection rate shaping. With a hydro-mechanical internal feedback mechanism, injector needle position can be determined by controlling a feedback valve's on/off timing. According to the needle position, an injection needle valve opening can be controlled, and then the injection flow rate can be delivered proportionally. Also in accordance with the present invention a CRDI systems are provided including injectors of the present invention, wherein results demonstrate that injector designs of the present invention not only achieve rate shaping capability but also solve the above-noted problems of the current CRDI system. Finally, an iterative learning controller has also been developed to track the desired injection rate, and an injection rate estimator is designed to realize a cycle to cycle feedback control.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided for a direct-injection engine having at least one cylinder head comprising at least one cylinder, in which each cylinder is assigned an injection nozzle which: is at least connectable to a fuel reservoir which serves for storing fuel, is secured in a nozzle holder, and is fitted with a nozzle needle which is displaceable in the direction of a longitudinal axis in a nozzle needle guide and, opens up at least one nozzle hole in order to introduce fuel. A control piston may be mounted movably on the injection nozzle, is displaceable in a translatory manner along the longitudinal axis of the injection nozzle between an inoperative position and a working position, and closes at least one fluid connection in the inoperative position and opens up same in the working position in order to introduce water into the associated cylinder.

A columnar rod portion located between the first valve element and the second valve element is slidably held at a cylinder hole of the valve cylinder. An internal passage communicates the control chamber communication passage with the second intermediate chamber. The high-pressure-side valve portion has an outer diameter greater than an outer diameter of the rod portion.

摘要: The invention relates to a fuel injection valve for injecting fuel into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine, having a nozzle needle (1) which is guided, such that it can perform a stroke movement, in a central bore (2) of a nozzle body (3) in order to open up or close off at least one injection opening (4), wherein the nozzle needle (1) interacts, by means of an encircling sealing region (5) formed on the combustion-chamber-side end thereof, with a sealing seat (6) that runs conically and is formed on the combustion-chamber-side end of the nozzle body (3). According to the invention, the sealing seat (6) that runs conically has an opening angle (α1) of between 30° and 50°, preferably of between 40° and 50°.

The fuel injector is installable in a cylinder head bore of a cylinder head of the engine and comprises a body region (B) arranged to be received within the cylinder head bore, and a head region (H) arranged to extend outside the cylinder head bore to protrude from the cylinder head when the injector is installed in the cylinder head bore, a first valve needle (116) arranged to control the injection of a gaseous fuel from a first outlet, a second valve needle (120) arranged to control the injection of a liquid fuel from a second outlet, a gaseous fuel inlet (130) for admitting the gaseous fuel to the injector, and a liquid fuel inlet (156) for admitting the liquid fuel to the injector. The gaseous fuel inlet (130) is disposed in the body region (B) of the injector, and wherein the liquid fuel inlet (156) is disposed in the head region (H) of the injector. Preferably, the injector includes an internal accumulator volume (270) so that an external fuel rail is not necessary.

The electronically controlled fuel injection valve employs a control method for fuel injection that increases the force of lifting up a cutoff needle of an injection controller by delivering high-pressure fuel to a lower pressure chamber via a control needle, thereby rapidly controlling fuel injection, has a simple structure making it easy to assemble, replace and precisely machine parts, and has a simple flow path structure which facilitates fabrication.
