Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may transmit an encoded transmission via a broadcast to multiple user equipment (UE). Subsequently, the multiple UEs may transmit assistance information to the base station based on attempting to decode the broadcasted encoded transmission. If the decoding is unsuccessful for at least one UE, the base station may then transmit an additional encoded transmission via a unicast or multicast message to the UEs that were unsuccessful. Additionally, the base station may transmit configuration information for the multiple UEs to receive the encoded transmissions and to transmit the assistance information. For example, the configuration information may include portion information for how long the encoded transmission is transmitted via the broadcast, via the unicast, when to transmit the assistance information, etc. In some cases, the configuration information may be based on UE metrics of the multiple UEs.

The UE may transmit uplink control information (UCI) on the uplink control channel in at least one of the non-FD zone or the FD zone in accordance with the configuration information. In a wireless communications system. a user equipment (UE) may receive. from a base station, control signaling indicating a quasi co-location (QCL) configuration associated with multiple-input multiple output (MIMO) communications within a distance threshold from the base station. In some cases, the UE may receive. from the base station, an indication of a downlink transmission associated with the QCL configuration within the distance threshold. The UE may select a beam to receive the downlink transmission within the distance threshold based on the QCL configuration. In some cases. the UE may receive multiple repetitions of the downlink transmission using corresponding antenna combining weight configurations, and the UE may determine a beam weight configuration for the beam to receive the downlink transmission based on receiving the multiple repetitions of the downlink transmission.

Abstract: Wireless communication devices are adapted to facilitate a random access procedure. According to one example, scheduled entity can transmit a first transmission that is received by a scheduling entity. The first transmission may include a physical random access channel (PRACH) preamble sequence and a first message including information for determining a device-specific network identifier for the scheduled entity. The scheduling entity may transmit a second transmission that is received by the scheduled entity. The second transmission may include information on a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) addressed to the device-specific network identifier for the scheduled entity, and a second message on a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH). Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses for wireless communication are described. In some wireless systems (e.g., new radio (NR) systems), a system may employ fixed or variable length uplink burst regions (e.g., in an uplink-centric slot). The base station may semi-statically or dynamically configure a user equipment (UE) or group of UEs for uplink control channel transmissions within an uplink burst region. In semi-static configuration, the UE may determine the uplink control channel transmission based on values transmitted or indicated via higher-layer signaling or based on default values. In dynamic configuration, the UE may receive an indication of actual resources used by the base station in a physical layer message. The UE may transmit using an uplink control channel transmission based on the indication. In some cases, the base station may allocate code division multiplexing (CDM) groups based on which UEs are semi-statically configured and which are dynamically configured.
