Abstract: An out-of-stock detection apparatus (10) includes an acquisition unit (110) and an image processing unit (120). The acquisition unit (110) acquires a first image including a display shelf on which a product is displayed. The image processing unit (120) determines, by processing the first image, whether a stockout is occurring on the display shelf. The image processing unit (120) generates first statistical information that indicates a result obtained by statistically processing colorfulness of a plurality of pixels included in at least a portion of the first image. The image processing unit (120) determines, using the first statistical information, whether a stockout is occurring on the display shelf. The first statistical information is, for example, an average value.

Abstract: A method includes obtaining a source image of a user and obtaining a driving video in which a face or a head of the user is moving. The method also includes generating metadata identifying animations to be applied to the source image so that the source image mimics at least some movements of the user's face or head in the driving video. The method further includes transmitting the source image and the metadata to an end user device configured to animate the source image based on the metadata. Generating the metadata includes suppressing one or more artifacts associated with one or more objects that temporarily occlude at least a portion of the user's head or body in the driving video or that temporarily appear in the driving video.

Abstract: A system is provided which obtains images of a physical object captured by an AR recording device in a 3D scene. The system measures a level of diversity of the obtained images, for a respective image, based on at least: a distance and angle; a lighting condition; and a percentage of occlusion. The system generates, based on the level of diversity, a first visualization of additional images to be captured by projecting, on a display of the recording device, first instructions for capturing the additional images using the AR recording device. The system trains a model based on the collected data. The system performs an error analysis on the collected data to estimate an error rate for each image of the collected data. The system generates, based on the error analysis, a second visualization of further images to be captured. The model is further trained based on the collected data.

Abstract: Described is a task for an automobile interior having at least one subject that creates a video input, an audio input, and a context descriptor input. The video input relates to the at least one subject and is processed by a face detection module and a facial point registration module to produce a first output. The first output is further processed by at least one of: a facial point tracking module, a head orientation tracking module, a body tracking module, a social gaze tracking module, and an action unit intensity tracking module. The audio input relating to the at least one subject is processed by a valence and arousal affect states tracking module to produce a second output and to produce a valence and arousal scores output. A temporal behavior primitives buffer produce a temporal behavior output. Based on the foregoing, a mental state prediction module predicts the mental state of at least one subject in the automobile interior.

Abstract: Presented herein is an interactive platform for judging an activity by a participant in an event. The platform includes a client application program downloadable to a mobile device. The program may include a database storing a mobile device identifier (ID), a user ID, user information, and location data of the device. The application may further be configured to display one or more events of the activity as well as an input for receiving a score of the activity from the user. The platform may additionally include a server system connected with the client application programs via a communication network. The server system may be configured for receiving the mobile device ID, the user ID, the user information, and the location data for the client program, and may further be configured to receive the scores from the users, and to adjust the scores according to determined bias of the associated user.

Abstract: Embodiments described herein provide for passive caller verification and/or passive fraud risk assessments for calls to customer call centers. Systems and methods may be used in real time as a call is coming into a call center. An analytics server of an analytics service looks at the purported Caller ID of the call, as well as the unaltered carrier metadata, which the analytics server then uses to generate or retrieve one or more probability scores using one or more lookup tables and/or a machine-learning model. A probability score indicates the likelihood that information derived using the Caller ID information has occurred or should occur given the carrier metadata received with the inbound call. The one or more probability scores be used to generate a risk score for the current call that indicates the probability of the call being valid (e.g., originated from a verified caller or calling device, non-fraudulent).
