摘要: The disclosure regards cross-component prediction and methods for deriving of a linear model for obtaining a first-component sample for a first-component block from an associated reconstructed second-component sample of a second-component block in the same frame, the method comprising determining the parameters of a linear equation representing a straight line passing through two points, each point being defined by two variables, the first variable corresponding to a second-component sample value, the second variable corresponding to a first-component sample value, based on reconstructed samples of both the first-component and the second-component; and deriving the linear model defined by the straight line parameters.

摘要: A video decoder that decodes a current block of pixels by using multi-hypothesis combined prediction mode is provided. The video decoder generates a first prediction of the current block based on an inter prediction mode. The video decoder enables the combined prediction mode for the current block based on a block size of the current block determined according to a width and a height of the current block. The combined prediction mode is disabled when the width of or the height of the current block is greater than a threshold length. When the combined prediction mode is enabled, the video decoder generates a second prediction based on an intra prediction mode that is inferred to be a planar mode, and subsequently a combined prediction for the current block based on the first prediction and the second prediction. The video decoder reconstructs the current block by using the combined prediction.

摘要: An image coding method includes: performing context arithmetic coding to consecutively code (i) first information indicating whether or not to perform sample adaptive offset (SAO) processing for a first region of an image and (ii) second information indicating whether or not to use, in the SAO processing for the first region, information on SAO processing for a region other than the first region, the context arithmetic coding being arithmetic coding using a variable probability, the SAO processing being offset processing on a pixel value; and performing bypass arithmetic coding to code other information which is information on the SAO processing for the first region and different from the first information or the second information, after the first information and the second information are coded, the bypass arithmetic coding being arithmetic coding using a fixed probability.

摘要: An encoder is configured to compress point cloud information using a blocks of nodes determined from a prediction tree. A prediction tree is generated for a point cloud. Segments of the prediction tree are identified. The segments are divided into blocks that are predicted by predecessor blocks within the segments. The blocks of the prediction tree may then be encoded and may be provided for transmission to a decoder that can regenerate the point cloud from the blocks of the prediction tree.

摘要: Disclosed herein is a method of decoding an image. The method includes generating an inter prediction block by performing inter prediction with respect to a current block, generating an intra prediction block by performing intra prediction with respect to the current block, determining a first weight and a second weight, and generating a final prediction block by respectively applying the first weight and the second weight to the inter prediction block and the intra prediction block. The generating of the intra prediction block includes generating the intra prediction block using a predefined intra prediction mode.

摘要: Aspects of the disclosure provide methods, apparatuses, and non-transitory computer-readable storage mediums for video encoding/decoding. An apparatus includes processing circuitry that partitions a current block of a current picture based on a geometric partitioning mode (GPM). The current block is partitioned into two partitions in the GPM mode. Each of the partitions is associated with a respective predictor. A weighting index for a sample of the current block is determined based on a position of the sample. A weighting factor is calculated based on the weighting index of the sample according to an equation that converts the weighting index to the weighting factor. The sample is encoded based on the weighting factor and the predictor corresponding to the sample.
