摘要: An admixture for cement comprises phosphorous acid and/or a salt thereof or a waste fluid originated from an electroless nickel-plating process which contains phosphorous acid and/or a salt thereof. The admixture is used as a setting accelerator, a rust proofing agent for reinforcing steel or a frost resistive agent for concrete and mortar as hydraulic cement blends. The admixture not only permits improvement of the resulting concrete in the setting-accelerating effect, but also can maintain the compressive strength at a high level while maintaining the bleeding rate at a low level.

摘要: The utilization of the byproducts from the deacetylation of lignocellulosic biomass from the production of ethanol to create cement additives and/or alternatives to ordinary portland cement (OPC) is described. These byproducts may be used to create black liquor bioash (BLA), activated lignin carbon (ALC), and/or lignin aerogel admixtures. In some embodiments, the byproduct may be combined with at least one binder to form alkali-activated materials (AAMs).

摘要: Dispersion-based ready-to-use grout formulations, methods of making such dispersion-based ready-to-use grout formulations, and the resultant grout products that perform as reactive resin grout products. The grout formulations of the invention at least include a water-based acrylic polymer dispersion binder and optionally a water-based acrylate copolymer dispersion binder, in combination with one or more of an alkaline cross-linker, one or more silane adhesion promoters and/or a micro-fiber filler, along with various other constituents, to provide one-part ready-to-use grout formulations that require no mixing prior to use thereof. The resultant grout products of the invention meet performance standards of epoxy grout products, without requiring mixing of composition parts and without any adverse side effects.

Further disclosed is a process for preparing a sulphur cement product; a process for preparing a sulphur cement surfacing on a structural material; and use of a wax to improve the fouling deposit removal and/or graffiti removal properties of a sulphur cement product.

摘要: The present invention relates to modified binders comprising nanocomposite based on clay and fumed silica, wherein said modified binder is in particular one which is suitable as an admixture for asphalt binders, in particular bitumen. In a further aspect, a method for producing said modified binder is provided, wherein the nanocomposite based on clay and fumed silica is produced by hydrothermal synthesis. In addition, compositions comprising the modified binders according to the invention, such as asphalt, are provided accordingly, as well as the use of these modified binders to improve the UV resistance, to increase the strength and/or to improve the crack resistance of asphalt.
