摘要: The present invention concerns the preparation of chemically modified derivatives of chitosan with acrylic groups and their use in the field of enamel-dentin adhesives. Chitosan derivatives have physical-chemical features (hydrophilicity, presence of electrical charges on the chain) which allow them to interact with the organic part of the demineralized tooth. At the same time, the acrylic groups incorporated in the polymer chain allow the formation of a covalent bond with the restorative material used in the dental field that is typically composed of acrylic resins. By combining the adhesion to the tooth surface and the bond with the restorative material, the chemically modified chitosan described herein is able to increase the lifespan of the dental restoration and can thus find use in the field of adhesives, in particular enamel-dentin adhesives.

摘要: A dental composite composition is disclosed that includes a polymerizable resin, filler particles, and at least one polymerizable stable radical. A variety of polymerizable stable radicals may be employed, including those that have a 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidinyl-1-oxyl moiety. Compositions as described herein exhibit excellent mechanical strength, hardness, and flexural modulus, while also significantly decreasing shrinkage stress caused by polymerization.

摘要: Dental material which contains at least one vinylcyclopropane of the general formulae I, in which A, B independently of each other are in each case OH or COOH; X, Y independently of each other are in each case O or NH; R1, R2 independently of each other are in each case H or an aliphatic linear or branched C1-C10 hydrocarbon radical which can be interrupted by O, S or an ester group; and n, m independently of each other are in each case 0, 1 or 2, wherein, if X=Y=O, R1≠H and R2≠H, n+m≧1. The vinylcyclopropanes are characterized by a low shrinkage and a high reactivity on radical polymerization and are suitable in particular for the preparation of dental materials.

摘要: The present disclosure provides a composite material, a method of making and using the composite material and dental products made by hardening the composite material. The composite material includes a polymerizable component, ceramic fibers and nanoclusters. Each of the ceramic fibers of the composite material has a length and where the length of fifty percent of the ceramic fibers, based on a total number of the ceramic fibers, is at least 50 micrometers and the length of ninety percent of the ceramic fibers, based on the total number of the ceramic fibers, is no greater than 500 micrometers. The composite material can also include discrete non-fumed metal oxide nanoparticles. The composite material can be hardened to become any one of a dental restorative, a dental adhesive, a dental mill blank, a dental cement, a dental prostheses, an orthodontic device, an orthodontic adhesive, a dental casting material or a dental coating.

摘要: A system for fabricating a dental restoration to restore a tooth at a restoration site in a dentition of a patient is disclosed. The dentition includes a restoration dental arch and an opposing dental arch. The restoration dental arch include the restoration site and the opposing dental arch is opposite the restoration dental arch. The system includes an impression apparatus, a motion capture apparatus, an interface apparatus, and a restoration design system. The impression apparatus is configured to capture an impression of the dentition of the patient. The motion capture apparatus is configured to capture a plurality of location data points that represent the locations of the opposing dental arch relative to the restoration dental arch. The interference model generation system is configured to generate an interference model for the restoration site. The restoration design system is for designing a restoration using the interference model.
