摘要: A dental overlay device for the placement of one or more veneers in a mouth of a patient comprises a curved body. The curved body further includes a body surface and a plurality of holes. The body surface is complementary to and configured for contacting portions of one or more teeth in the mouth of a patient, including distal teeth on opposite sides of the patient's mouth, to secure the curved body in a suitable position on the patient's teeth. The plurality of holes extend through the curved body and correspond to locations on a plurality of teeth.

摘要: A tool for forming a dental restoration includes a mold body configured to combine with a tooth of a patient to define a mold cavity encompassing at least a portion of desired tooth structure of the tooth. In some examples, the portion of desired tooth structure defines an interproximal surface of the tooth. The mold body may include, in some examples, a base member configured to provide a customized fit with at least one tooth of the patient to attach the mold body to the at least one tooth, and an interproximal member extending from the base member and configured to be disposed between adjacent teeth of the patient when the base member is fit over the at least one tooth. The interproximal member defines a surface of the mold cavity.

The dental composition includes a base material comprising at least one of the following compounds chosen from the group consisting of: a product consisting of one or more hydrocarbon-based waxes that may also include inorganic fillers and/or organic fillers; an uncured, uncrosslinked silicone high consistency rubber base; and a hydrophobic water insoluble solid material. The base material has a coating composition on one or more surface of the base material wherein the coating composition comprises: one or more desensitization ingredient and at least one dry, powdered hydrophilic polymeric substance.

摘要: A method is provided for placing a preformed dental article. The method comprises: providing a preformed dental article; providing an uncured self-supporting dental article having a first shape, wherein the uncured dental article comprises: a polymerizable resin system; at least 50 wt-% of filler; placing the preformed dental article onto a tooth structure such that the uncured dental article is provided at an interface between the preformed dental article and tooth structure; and forming the uncured dental article into a second shape thereby improving the continuity of the interface. Further, a dental article for use at an interface between a dental restoration and tooth structure having a first self-supporting shape are provided in accordance with the invention.

For example, a method may receive at least one property of at least one component in a sample of a food from an intra-oral device including a spectrometer, the at least one property obtained via the spectrometer, compares the at least one property to a plurality of food signatures, and determines the identity of the food based upon the comparing. In another example, a system may include an intra-oral device and a wireless device. The intra-oral device may include a spectrometer for measuring at least one property of at least one component in a sample of a food. The wireless device may include a processor for receiving the at least one property, comparing the at least one property to a plurality of food signatures, and determining the identity of the food based upon the comparing.
