摘要: A system may comprise a first catheter having a first steerable segment and a second catheter disposed within the first catheter. The second catheter may have a second steerable segment. The system may also comprise an imaging element supported at a distal end of the second catheter, a coil reference sensor supported at a distal portion of the second catheter, and a processor in electrical communication with the coil reference sensor. The processor may be configured to determine a position of a distal portion of the first catheter with reference to the coil reference sensor.

The working channel is configured to receive the elongated tubular member of an electrosurgical instrument and the optical channel is configured to receive an optical scope. 摘要: The invention relates to a viewing system for use in a surgical environment. Various real object detection devices detect locations of real objects in a real environment, such as a patient and body part of patient, medical staff, robots, a cutting tool on a robot, implant transferred by robot into body part, surgical tools, and disposable items. A map generator generates a map that forms a digital representation or a digital twin of the real environment. Various guiding modules including a room setup module, an anatomy registration module, a surgical planning module, and a surgical execution module make use of the digital representation to guide virtual or real objects based on the digital representation.

摘要: A method for determining a shape of a lumen in an anatomical structure comprises reading information from a plurality of strain sensors disposed substantially along a length of a flexible medical device when the flexible medical device is positioned in the lumen. When the flexible medical device is positioned in the lumen, the flexible medical device conforms to the shape of the lumen. The method further comprises computationally determining, by a processing system, the shape of the lumen based on the information from the plurality of strain sensors.

摘要: An applicator instrument for dispensing surgical fasteners includes a housing, a firing system moveable along a first axis, a handle extending upwardly from the housing along a second axis that defines an acute angle with the first axis, the handle having an upper free end that defines a top of the applicator instrument, a trigger coupled with the housing for activating the firing system, and an elongated shaft extending from the distal end of the housing, the elongated shaft having a proximal shaft section extending along the first axis and a distal shaft section that is oriented at an angle relative to the proximal shaft section for extending upwardly toward the top of the applicator instrument. The trigger is squeezed for dispensing surgical fasteners from the distal end of the elongated shaft. The applicator instrument has at least one visual indicator for indicating a proper orientation for the applicator instrument in which the upper free end of the handle is positioned above the housing.

摘要: A low-cost, ultra-compact multichannel micro-endoscope system is described that includes fiber bundles that can be implanted directly into the target tissue. In one example, the system includes one or more fiber bundles, where a first end of one fiber bundle is shaped as a non-flat surface for insertion into a target, allowing direct contact with a region of interest within the target. The light that travels back from varying depths of the region of interest are received at second end of the fiber bundle, is captured and the corresponding signals are processed to produce high-resolution images of the region of interest. Multiple imaging probes can be implanted into the target to simultaneously monitor neural activities in different regions and at different depths.
