    摘要: Method for tempering a moulding tool intended for production of products of natural or synthetic polymers, which moulding tool includes one or more moulding parts made of sintered metal with communicating pores obtained by pressing at a high pressure and sintering at a high temperature of a powdered material, in which moulding part or parts a moulding cavity has then been made, whereby preferably the outer envelope surface of the moulding tool is tight. The method comprises tightly connecting one or more channels, capillary tubes or the like through the tight outer envelop surface to the mould material of the moulding tool situated inside, which material contains a large number of small communicating pores and feeding a gas having a suitable state and a suitable temperature through the channels thereby causing a rapid tempering of the moulding tool to a desired extent.

    摘要: Separable upper and lower rims of a post-cure tire inflator requiring no upper rim replacing operation which requires much time and labor especially when mounting the upper rim, and also no time and labor for holding a lower rim upward when mounting. In the upper and lower rim for holding the bead section of the tire, a high-pressure air is filled in a cured tire discharged from a tire curing press to thereby inflate and cool the tire; therefore at least the upper rim has stairway-like steps having two or more outer diameters fit to the bead diameters of tires of different sizes and formed by extending a small outer diameter on a large outer diameter.

    摘要: Rapid cooling of molded workpieces such as PET parisons formed in an injection molding machine is provided by a receiver receiving molded workpieces upon ejection from the molding machine, the receiver being transported out of the molding machine to an adjacent position where a cooling head coupled to a source of cooling fluid such as liquid nitrogen directs the fluid toward the surfaces of each workpiece. The cooling head engages and is sealed to the receiver to inhibit the escape of cooling fluid into the atmosphere thereby reducing cost, environmental impact, etc. A cooling program control coupled to the cooling fluid source supplies a discontinuous flow cooling fluid from said source to contact the workpieces only when the cooling head is engaged with and sealed to the receiver. A vacuum unit withdraws cooling fluid from the receiver subsequent to contact between the workpieces and the cooling fluid. The cooling fluid can then recooled and recycled for reuse.

    摘要: A method, process and apparatus for generating complex shapes without the use of dies, molds, or other fixed tooling. A continuous length or flow of a malleable or fluent material is provided to a forming apparatus which shapes the material, producing a contiguous series of smoothly blended, properly contoured portions of the desired shape. The formation of a shape relies on continuous control of shape-determining variables: the instantaneous cross-section of the shape in a virtual transition surface between the formable and formed material, the rate-of-change of cross-sectional dimensions between sequential cross-sections, the instantaneous angle of movement of the material at any point on the cross-section in the transition surface, and the rate of movement away from the transition surface of the just-stabilized portion of the shape. The material is stabilized as these shape-determining variables achieve the proper values in each portion of the material. The invention further provides a technique for analyzing and modifying a computer model of a desired shape, and for developing a process control datafile from the models.
