    Abstract: A molding process of a co-cured short-fiber resin-based damping composite material and a molding part. Different from a traditional centrifugal processing process of a thin-walled tube of a resin-based composite material, the process uses raw materials including three kinds of materials with different densities and including two kinds of short-fiber epoxy resin with different densities and a damping material. During centrifugal molding, the three kinds of materials are made into fluids to be respectively injected at a uniform speed in three times according to the sizes of the densities. Layering is performed by using different centrifugal forces applied to the three kinds of materials. Co-curing is performed according to a resin curing process after the three kinds of materials are stably distributed, and a tubular thin-walled part of the embedded co-cured short-fiber resin-based damping composite material with a uniform wall thickness is obtained.

    Abstract: A latching mechanism suitable for suppository molds, where the latching mechanism is designed to assist the separation of mold when the latch is released. In embodiments, the latching mechanism has a lever portion on a first mold half and a catch portion on a second mold half. The lever portion is configured to impinge upon the catch portion to provide a force to bias the first mold half away from the second mold half. Other embodiments include methods of utilizing such a catching mechanism with a suppository mold.

    Abstract: A deposition assembly generally comprises a first deposition apparatus that is configured to receive a substrate, such as a glass mandrel. The first deposition apparatus is further configured to deposit a plurality of first monolayer molecules onto at least a surface of the substrate to generate a first coating structure on the substrate. A second deposition apparatus is coupled to the first deposition apparatus, and wherein the second deposition apparatus is configured to deposit a plurality of second monolayer molecules onto at least the surface of the substrate such that the second monolayer molecules are diffused through the first coating structure and at least one aperture is filled by at least one of the second monolayer molecules to generate at least one mold release layer on at least the surface of the substrate.
