摘要: A clamp circuit comprises an output transistor and a replica transistor coupled as a current minor pair, wherein the replica transistor is scaled in size to the output transistor by a size ratio; a first current source configured to set a current in the replica transistor, wherein the output current is set at a clamped output current value that is a sum of current of the first current source and a scaled value of the current of the first current source determined according to the size ratio; and a register circuit, wherein a register value stored in the register circuit sets the clamped output current value.

摘要: A circuit for implementing a differential input receiver is described. The circuit comprises an input circuit having a first input node and a second input node configured to receive a differential input signal; a first output circuit having a first capacitor coupled between the first input node and a first output node and a second capacitor coupled between the second input node and a second output node, wherein the first output circuit generates an output signal at the first output and the second output when the input signal is in a first frequency range; and a second output circuit comprising an amplifier having a first amplifier input coupled to the first input node and a second amplifier input coupled to the second input node, wherein the second output circuit generates an output signal when the input signal is in a second frequency range which extends lower than the first frequency range. A method of implementing a differential input receiver is also described. The circuits and methods also allow for offset compensation.

摘要: A CMOS amplifier including electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection circuits is disclosed. In one embodiment, the CMOS amplifier may include a PMOS transistor, a NMOS transistor, primary protection diodes, and one or more auxiliary protection diodes to limit a voltage difference between terminals of the CMOS amplifier. In some embodiments, the auxiliary protection diodes may limit the voltage difference between an input terminal of the CMOS amplifier and a supply voltage, the input terminal of the CMOS amplifier and ground, and the input terminal and the output terminal of the CMOS amplifier.

摘要: The disclosure provides an operational amplifier circuit, in which a power supply of an amplifying circuit is coupled to a first voltage clamping circuit, and the first voltage clamping circuit clamps a supply voltage of the amplifying circuit when the supply voltage exceeds a normal-operation allowable voltage of the amplifying circuit. The disclosure also provides a method for implementing the operational amplifier circuit. According to the disclosure, the operational circuit may be avoided from subject to an excessive supply voltage, which may damage devices in the amplifying circuit of the operational amplifier.

摘要: There is provided an operational amplifier capable of detecting that an input terminal has been open circuited without restricting the voltage range of an input signal. The operational amplifier includes a first comparator which detects that an inverting input terminal of an operational amplifier has been open circuited, a second comparator which detects that a non-inverting input terminal of the operational amplifier has been open circuited, a first resistor and a first switch which are controlled by output signals of the first comparator and the second comparator and which are connected in series between the non-inverting input terminal and a ground terminal of the operational amplifier, and a second resistor and a second switch which are connected in series between the inverting input terminal and a supply terminal of the operational amplifier.
