Abstract: Embodiments include a system that incorporates the subject disclosure may include, for example, detecting a current trigger during a video game and determining a group of players involved in the current trigger. Further embodiments include recording a trigger clip of game content for each player in the group of players resulting in a group of trigger clips. Each trigger clip of the group of trigger clips is a portion of game content that includes the current trigger from a perspective of each player of the group of players. Additional embodiments include providing the group of trigger clips to a group of gaming devices over a communication network. Each gaming device of the group of gaming devices is associated with one player of the group of players. Additional embodiments are disclosed.

Abstract: A system that incorporates the subject disclosure may include, for example, a device that has a memory to store instructions and a processor coupled to the memory, wherein responsive to executing the instructions, the processor performs operations that include defining a group of perspectives around an avatar controlled by a player of a video game, detecting a current trigger during the video game, recording a trigger clip of game content for each perspective in the group of perspectives resulting in a group of trigger clips, wherein each trigger clip of the group of trigger clips is a portion of game content that includes the current trigger from each perspective of the group of perspectives, and providing the group of trigger clips over a communication network to a gaming device utilized by the player. Additional embodiments are disclosed.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and media for coordinating multiplayer game sessions are provided. In some embodiments, the method comprises: determining that a first user associated with a first user device is viewing game content created by a second user associated with a second user device; in response to determining that the first user is viewing the game content created by the second user, determining whether the first user satisfies criteria for joining a multiplayer game session with the second user; in response to determining that the first user satisfies criteria for joining the multiplayer game session with the second user, causing a selectable input element to join a queue of players to participate in the multiplayer game session with the second user to be presented on the first user device; in response to determining that the selectable input element to join the queue of players has been selected on the first user device, adding the first user to a position of the queue of players; in response to determining that the first user can participate in the multiplayer games session based on the position within the queue of players, causing an invitation to join the multiplayer game session to be presented on the first user device; in response to determining that the invitation to join the multiplayer game session has been accepted on the first user device, causing the first user to be added to the multiplayer game session; causing the multiplayer game session to begin on the first user device, wherein the multiplayer game session includes at least the first user and the second user; and in response to determining that the multiplayer game session has ended, removing the first user from the multiplayer game session.

Abstract: Systems and methods enable most valuable players (MVPs) of a gameplay session to play a bonus gameplay session where other players (non-MVP players) participate as player-spectators in online video games and, through a collective voting mechanism or through active interaction, determine the occurrence of certain events or contents of the bonus gameplay in real time. In this manner, non-MVP players are able to directly affect the course of the bonus gameplay.

Abstract: Non-players can vote and comment on uploaded video clips or livestreams of video games played by video game players. The video game players that upload the clips or do the livestreaming and that then receive the most votes can be awarded digital awards. The non-players providing the best comments can also be awarded digital awards. This incentivizes these behaviors, providing ample training data in the process so that the votes and comments can be used to train a model to make inferences related to video game video. For instance, the model may be trained to provide auto-generated comments in real time as a second video game is played, where the comments are in video game domain-specific language.

Abstract: A method includes: receiving a plurality of game streams; analyzing each game stream to recognize gameplay activity; obtaining spectating preferences of a user; determining a prioritization of the plurality of game streams based on the recognized gameplay activity and the spectating preferences of the user; providing a recommendation of at least some of the game streams for spectating based on the determined prioritization; responsive to receiving a selection of one of the recommended game streams, then providing the selected game stream for spectating by the user; during the spectating of the selected game stream by the user, monitoring the gameplay activity in the game streams, and updating the prioritization of the plurality of game streams; responsive to detecting a change in the prioritization of the plurality of game streams, then switching the user from the selected game stream to a second selected game stream.

Abstract: A method for gaming, including receiving from a client device of a user selection of a video recording of game play of a player for a gaming application, and streaming the video recording to the client device. The video recording is associated with a snapshot captured at a first point in the recorded game play. Selection of a jump point in the recorded game play is received from the client device. An instance of the gaming application is initiated based on the snapshot to initiate a jump game play. Input commands used to direct the game play and associated with the snapshot are accessed. Image frames are generated based on the input commands for rendering at the client device, the image frames replaying the game play to the jump point. Input commands from the client device are handled beginning from the jump point for the jump game play.
