摘要: A system includes a controller configured to store a relationship matrix of a plurality of diagnostic estimators and a plurality of failure modes, each failure mode represents a type of failure that can occur with (i) a sensor or (ii) a vehicle component of a vehicle system, each diagnostic estimator is associated with a respective subset of the failure modes, each respective subset defines a control volume within the vehicle system that contains at least one of (i) one or more sensors or (ii) one or more vehicle components; store a healthy diagnostic vector regarding nominal operational parameters of the vehicle system; acquire diagnostic information regarding current operational parameters of the vehicle system to generate an error diagnostic vector; divide the error diagnostic vector by the healthy diagnostic vector to generate a ratio diagnostic vector; multiply the ratio diagnostic vector with the relationship matrix to generate a value for each failure mode.

摘要: An exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system comprises a first turbocharger (7) and a second turbocharger (6) connected in series. An outlet of a turbine (601) of the second turbocharger is connected to an exhaust pipe (9). An inlet of a compressor (602) of the second turbocharger is connected to the exhaust pipe by means of an EGR gas collection pipe (4), and an outlet of the compressor (602) of the second turbocharger is connected to an intake manifold (2) by means of a low-pressure EGR exhaust pipe (5). The system employs energy of exhaust gas to drive turbines of a two-stage turbocharging system, thereby increasing utilization of the exhaust gas and improving the economic efficiency of an engine. An engine is also disclosed.

摘要: A control device for an internal combustion engine includes an intake channel, an exhaust gas recirculation channel which enters into the intake channel, a control element, a mixing housing which forms the intake channel, a connection element, a compressor, and a shaft. The mixing housing has a mouth of the exhaust gas recirculation channel in a lower area, an outlet, a mixing housing section, and a bowl-shaped recess. The cross-sectional extension is formed via the mixing housing to provide an axial stop face. The connection element abuts against the axial stop face and is radially limited by an axially opposite inner wall surface on the stop face. The mixing housing section has a recess arranged at the lowest point of the mixing housing section and below the axially opposite inner wall surface. The recess enters into the bowl-shaped recess of the mixing housing.

摘要: An engine control apparatus includes first and second fuel injection amount calculators, a fuel injection controller, an EGR valve controller, and an EGR valve diagnosis unit. The first and second fuel injection amount calculators are configured to calculate first and second fuel injection amounts on the basis of a detected intake air amount and detected pressure in an intake pipe, respectively. The fuel injection controller is configured to control a fuel injection apparatus for an engine on the basis of a correction fuel injection amount that is a result of addition of the first and second fuel injection amounts respectively multiplied by first and second weight coefficients. When the fuel injection is restarted after diagnosis of the EGR valve carried out by the EGR valve diagnosis unit, the fuel injection controller increases the second weight coefficient, and thereafter gradually increases and reduces the first and second weight coefficients, respectively.

摘要: Methods and systems for diagnosing operation of an exhaust gas recirculation system of an internal combustion engine are described. In one example, the EGR system is diagnosed while an engine that includes the EGR system is not rotating and combusting fuel. The EGR system is diagnosed when the engine is not operating so that vehicle passengers are not disturbed by the diagnostic and so that flow estimates through the EGR system may not be disturbed by pressure changes that may be related to combustion within the engine.

摘要: An internal combustion engine includes a throttle valve, an EGR passage, an EGR valve, a valve mechanism that adjusts opening and closing characteristics of an intake valve or an exhaust valve of the internal combustion engine, and a controller that controls the throttle valve, the EGR valve and the valve mechanism, based on request torque that is requested of the internal combustion engine. The controller is configured to execute evacuation traveling control that operates the throttle valve to fully open, calculates a target intake air flow amount for achieving the request torque based on an effective opening area of the EGR valve which is stuck, and operates the valve mechanism in accordance with the target intake air flow amount, in at least one time period while the request torque is reducing when the EGR valve is stuck in an open state.
