Abstract: System and methods are provided for selecting reference units for calibration of OTA testing stations. Various embodiments include selecting a reference unit for over-the-air (OTA) testing, the selecting including responsive to conducting one or more tests for a plurality of test items on a plurality of units via an OTA testing station, collecting test result values for each of the plurality of test items; calculating a sum of all errors for each of the units, wherein the errors represent a deviation from an average result for each of the test items; determining a unit which exhibits a lowest sum value of all of the errors, wherein the unit is determined as a reference unit for calibrating the OTA testing station; and testing a wireless device with the reference unit.

Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, receiving, via an antenna, a communication signal generated by a communication device, and detecting interference in the communication signal, wherein the interference is generated by one or more interference sources, wherein the interference is detected by monitoring a near field region of the antenna, an intermediate field region of the antenna, a far field region of the antenna, or any combinations thereof, wherein the monitoring excludes monitoring only the far field region of the antenna. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Abstract: Reliability, in 5G and emerging 6G, is a continuing challenge due to signal fading, heavy interference, and phase noise, among others. The disclosed procedures show how to locate the most likely faulted message elements according to a deviant modulation, excessive amplitude or phase instability, and inconsistency between successive transmissions of the message. In addition, the receiver can rectify the message either by altering the faulted message elements to other modulation states, or by selectively merging two versions of the message according to signal quality. In either case, reliability is improved, range is extended, and time is saved.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, devices use machine learning (ML) models to support wireless communications. For example, a user equipment (UE) may download ML model information from a network to determine an ML model. The network may additionally configure a status reporting procedure, a fallback procedure, or both for the ML model. In some examples, based on a configuration, the UE may transmit a status report to a base station according to a reporting periodicity, a UE-based trigger, a network-based trigger, or some combination thereof. Additionally or alternatively, the UE may determine to fallback from operating using the ML model to operating in a second mode based on a fallback trigger. In some examples, to restore operating using a downloaded ML model, the UE may download an updated ML model or receive iterative updates to a previously downloaded ML model.

Abstract: Technology described herein can gather frequency domain power data for enabling real-time adjustment of one or more parameters of a radio system. In an embodiment, a system can comprise a processor that is configured to control collection of power data relative to a subcarrier of a radio system, a read circuit communicatively coupled to the processor and controlled by the processor to read, at the radio system, the power data in a frequency domain, relative to the subcarrier, along a selected time range that is defined by an upper limit of time and a lower limit of time, and a memory communicatively coupled to the processor and that receives and stores the power data in the frequency domain from the read circuit. In one or more embodiments, power data in the frequency domain is collected at a frequency of a subcarrier and/or at a frequency between subcarriers.

Abstract: A cellular communication apparatus includes antenna circuitry. A transceiver receives or transmits a signal using the antenna circuitry on a chosen channel of a portion of a radio spectrum. The portion of the radio spectrum is divided into one or more channels including the chosen channel each occupying a bandwidth of the portion of the radio spectrum. Control circuitry dynamically changes a configuration of the one or more channels of the radio spectrum and communication circuitry communicates the configuration of the one or more channels of the radio spectrum to one or more items of user equipment.

Abstract: A method for testing radio frequency performance of a wireless device is provided. Power level reporting information of a device under test is obtained. A propagation matrix is obtained based on the power level reporting information. An inverse matrix is obtained based on the propagation matrix to form a virtual cable between an output port of an instrument and a receiver port of the device under test. A throughput test signal is transmitted through the virtual cable to perform a performance test on the device under test and to obtain a test result of the radio frequency performance.
