Abstract: Technology described herein can gather and statistically analyze time domain power data for enabling real-time adjustment of one or more parameters of a radio system. In an embodiment, a system can comprise a processor and a read circuit communicatively coupled to the processor, wherein the processor controls the read circuit to read power data in a time domain from a radio system, and an analysis component communicatively coupled to the processor, wherein the analysis component compares the power data in the time domain to a power threshold, and wherein, based on a result of the power data being compared to the power threshold, the analysis component sorts the power data into bins at a storage component communicatively coupled to the processor.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer readable media can be operable to facilitate a gathering and transmission of monitoring data from a sensor module to a telemetry control center. One or more sensor modules may be attached or otherwise connected to one or more devices that are included within an HFC infrastructure. Each sensor module may include one or more sensors that capture monitoring signals. The sensor module may interface with a communication link that is associated with the device to which it is connected. The sensor module may process the captured monitoring signals and output the processed signals to a telemetry control center, the processed signals being output over a reverse signal path that is utilized by the device to which the sensor module is connected.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a clustering approach for sensor nodes of a wireless sensor network. This clustering approach, equal distance different members, balances the power burden amongst sensor nodes by deriving an optimal number of sensor nodes at each segment of a length. To this end, the present disclosure describes a linear wireless sensor network wherein the distance between adjacent cluster heads is equal while the number of and distance between sensor nodes in each cluster is different. A power consumption model is derived to aid in the determination of the optimal number of sensor nodes within each cluster. Following evaluation of the cluster approach in comparison with previously described approaches, the present disclosure is observed to improve network longevity and reduce power consumption by deliberately increasing the density of sensor nodes nearest a base station.

Abstract: A user of a device desires that geographic position information of the device be kept private. A network may track a geographic position of a device using timing advance (TA) data and also a passive attacker may attempt to track the geographic position of the device by observing base station TA commands. In embodiments provided herein, a device diminishes or obfuscates geographic position information by using a timing change value while not disturbing synchronization of uplink signals from multiple devices arriving at a base station. To resist an averaging solution by an observer, the device in some embodiments adjusts the timing change value based on an internal timer. In an emergency call situation, the method permits the base station to obtain geographic position information based on TA procedures.
